  • It's incredible how clear and present the low keys are. I guess you really do need over 2m of string to get them to sound like proper notes.

  • You're sampling this piano? Will it be better than Ivory's?

  • @001Asoer Better than Ivory's? I can't say for sure. But this piano is top notch, recorded in a real studio instead of concert hall with multiple mic perspectives that can be mixed to suit your tastes. Its entirely sample-based so the clarity is unmatched by any virtual/digital piano I've ever played. Please stay tuned for the finished product, and then decide if it's better than Ivory. :)

  • Damn! The bass sounds amazing even on an iPhone! I'll approve your video response ASAP.

  • Amazing base, it has a lot of vibration but still an amazing amounth of clear tone. Soprano and alt are amazing, but I don´t really like the tenor part of this piano. But I think a better sound then a Steinway. Really big competition between Steinway and Fazioli, I´ve never played on a Fazioli, so I still have to get the feeling of the Fazioli.

    Amazing piano!

  • It's a wonderfull piano.

  • I would have liked to have seen the mic set up..I don't get how it works. Where do the mics run into and where do you record the sound? Onto the computer? So is it then hooked up to the computer? Because you wouldn't hook it up through USB. I'm so confused and I can't figure this out anywhere :(

  • @itsanthonyhere This video is of a test recording session of the actual piano which in turn will determine the sound of the virtual piano. Yes the sound was recorded to a computer through Apogee converters. The video is from a Sony Z1 camera. I synced the sound to the video in post.

  • @lancemgy Well I mean, so you have the mics which are connected to the Apogee converters, which connect to the comp? That's it? So what software did you use on the computer?

  • @itsanthonyhere I tracked everything in Sony Vegas (a video editing app, but great for audio), but any DAW software would work. And that was just the recording phase, which is very crucial, but the rest of the magic happens in the labs where we take the raw recordings and turn them into a virtual version of the same instrument. Visit my website for more info on the finished products.

  • So Apogee converters just convert it to USB? I tried googling those and of course APPLE has microphones that are simply USB that work for MACs or iPhones. That makes sense. Every other link is just advertisement gibberish, because it wasn't Apple, of course. I don't know what DAW stands for. I don't know why trying to figure this out never gives me the answer I'm looking for.
