I somehow knew Galis was a great player, people and reporters had always talked about him with great respect, but I had never watched him extensively though, until the last 2-3 days. Amazing ball handling and coordination, delays the decision until the last moment, very intuitive player who can read things before him masterfully. Very illusive and difficult to guard - these are my impressions after i've "discovered" Galis. Truly a great player

It's difficult to say who was the greatest. Gallis, of course, was a phenomenon because of his athletic structure and small height (1.85). But then there were Drazen, Kukoc and Danilovic...

Mike D'Antoni was a great cerebral player, Antonello Riva was a prime time bomber and I, personally, am a fan of a great all rounder, Riccardo Pittis who won many times Kukoc and at the finish of his career took his revenge also on Danilovic at an italian cup final for the loss in Istanbul in '92...

what i remember from this final-4 in 1988 was the fact that Aris and Partizan went there as the 2 better teams and both lost in the semi-finals. It was unfair that year for Aris because couch Iaonnidis the only thing that managed to do, was to stress the team too much and in the end they didnt play as they could, i mean that a normal Aris that night would probably had won Milan with 15-20 points differenece! but ok this is history. Nikos Galis theos!!!
