  • it's a sweet Japanese ketchup, yes. add some mirin to classical Heinz and you're all set

  • Words cannot express my love for this amazing movie.

  • tampopo? isn't it means dendelion?

    appetizing..........

  • 映画のシーンって役に立ちますね。

    ありがとう~♪

  • うわ~!

    こんなふうにオムライスを作ってみようっと!

    ありがとう~♪

  • This film is fantastic, one of my favourites :) I can't watch this without eating something, last time I saw it I had some miso soup, ramen and onigiri mmmm oishi na.

  • Hey is that ketchup he's using in the rice? Anyone know?

  • Wow! I've never seen an egg done like THAT before. So delicate, such finesse.

  • Great film ! Always makes me so hungry for noodles and oriental food afterwards.

  • omg. that's a cool video

  • After I watched the movie, I couldn't wait a moment longer. I rushed to the kitchen to make my very first omelet! It was actually very successful (I did pause and rewind the tape a couple of times before I went into the kitchen). The video clip brought back these wonderful memories. 5 stars for the video.

  • Delicious :D

  • Trivia:

the hands cooking omurice is the director ,Juzo Itami's. He was a good cooker.

  • i might not ever learn how to make an omurice... but i learned how to make a rice Omelette

  • I like my rice plain, w/maybe some green onion, then easy with the banana sauce. Don't cook egg too long.

  • mmmm... yum... this is my dinner tongith!!!

The adult looks a little like Worzel Gummidge!!!

  • funny movie! thanks for sharing this clip!

  • scrummy

  • Awesome. Must make omurice! But... damn my electric stove. Only a good flame makes a good omeletter.

  • Nice! I learned how to make it from watching this film too.

  • omg i was just in awe watching that!!! gimme an omelette rice NOW

  • the ultimate food film. serious technique in this scene :)

  • Damn! I'm hungry now! :D

  • this isn't tampopo... anyone knows the real title of the movie? I saw this awhile ago and forgot the title

  • This is tampopo. i saw it less than a week ago.

  • This is Tampopo!. I suggest you to dust down your copy and watch it again. All of it. Then eat noodles!

  • anyway, the guy who cooked omurice was Noppo-san!!

  • the person who actually made that omelette was the director of this movie (juzo itami). First he was filming this scene with a professional chef he hired, but he didn't like it much, eventually he decided to do it by himself.

  • oh my, I never knew that :)

  • well done old bum. this is a proper omelette, purely yellow without a hint of brown. Notice how early in the process he begins to turn it and how briefly it stays in the pan. He knows that the runny middle will continue to cook once the hot outside layer is folded over.

  • when i saw this movie to me it was the same effect when you saw a porn movie-have sex- after tampopo i met waht the "gula" means. eat eat eat Awwwww! que rico

  • damn, that's some nice wrist action!! if only i can fold eggs like that!!

  • yeah I'm making omurice sometimes and it takes a lot of practice just to be at least half as good as this bum :)

  • i luv it!

  • That was awesome!

  • ive seen this movie so many times but a long time ago
