Being a Transmale myself I am terrified to join this countries military that I love so much. I definitely give Reichen my utmost approval. He's peaking for all of us gay service members that can't. I just recently got out of the military myself .

Gays join the military for many different reasons. I absolutely don't agree with the war... but unless you've ever been put in the position of doing something that was much bigger than yourself, you would watch what you say... ahem "queerplanet." I'm not just talking about the war in Iraq but being in the military as a whole.

US legislature concerning LGBT Human Rights is now so far behind so many other western democracies that it would be rather ignorant and presumptuous to speak of "leading the way" when in fact it's more a matter of catching up. Some of us do....all the time. Speaking to congresspeople does nothing. Money talks. Even then, if you're not donating money to a congressperson as much as the OTHER side, you're screwed....so for now, we're screwed...but it seems to be getting a little better every year.
