Yes, for the tail light circuit there is 1 additional resistor that you put in line with the main circuit. You also need to put a diode on each circuit to isolate them from each other.

how do you wire the leds in the tailight to be dim with the lights on and brighter with the brakes on?
Do you just run 2 different types of resistors in line with each wire?
