One way to examine wether Islam treated the Rajput reverts better or the Hindu samaj treated them better is to carryout a survey of both Muslim an Hindu Jarrals. You will be shocked to find that the Islam had served more justice anyday. Not only it allowed them to keep their identity and culture; it gave them equality. Islam led Col. Hassan Jarral to win Gilgit right out of the Dogra noses. What came of the Hindu Jarral who stayed with their old folks and religion?
I am sure their will be many many more Fateha Gilgit in the Jarral Muslims to come. A small population of Jarrals in Islam with many many big names to date. 3 ministers in current AJK Government. High ranking army offices, Local government, policy makers, business men, in law and constitution, in religion - Masha Allah.
