this is pretty cool. however, riding a reiner with no bridle is in fact easy. they go all off legs. steering isnt easy without some kind of rope though :)

All reiners should be made to take off their bridle, there would be no more abuse. If they couldn't get this trust, they just couldn't compete haha

agree somewhat, not all reiners abuse bridles, most should be trained to barely put pressure and thats on the reins not the bridle. but yes, it would be amazing if all reiner could do this, and there would less chance for abuse. i hope i can go bridless one day, it would take my breath away

excellent demonstration of how a happy and loyal horse does what you want just to make you happy, i love the feel of natural horsemanship, which i think is when the horse does it cause it wants to and the rider clearly loves their horse...

i particularly liked the way her horse joined up and followed when she dismounted,

they have clearly been good friends for some time,

you cannot beat or bribe a horse to act like that

its a perfect partnership, kudos to you Stacey

As a big advocate of Monty Roberts and someone who's experienced the emotional and beautiful experience of "join-up" well over 100 times now, I can tell this horse and rider are bonded completely by trust and a partnership that cannot be explained in mere words....(notice the licking and chewing the horse displays often throughout the video, which is a sign of complete submission BY CHOICE NOT FORCE...this is significant when you ask the horse to accept you. Great testimony to the power of love

Completely disappointed thqt she put a bit on him to lead him out of the arean though-why would you do that when he could do all that for you bitless and bareback???? @zrx110099 She probably had to put a lead on him for "regulatory" purposes. The venue may have a rule about horses being on a lead outside of the ring.

@zrx110099 it's most likely for the horse's safety, you never know what's outside the ring. Something might startle her and cause her to take off, even if she trusts Stacy completely you can never predict the affect other people's actions
