I find slime molds fascinating. They demonstrate a high level of intelligence and they allow for a diverse amount of cells to cooperate in a single body. Yes yes I know I am a geek, and proud of it.
its not like a mushroom at all...there are no cell walls or hyphae in a slime mold hence its name. its all plasmodium. and they move actually pretty fast for a fungi, something like an inch every hour
O,..,O' That doesn't look like any slime mold I've ever seen. Looks like one of the true fungi. Slime molds are actually protists with similar characteristics to fungi, hence the confusion between them. I have some slime mold growing on some agar plates for a biology lab experiment. Quite boring, really.
@ItsaUFOduh not very safe to cuz they are single cell creatures so if u dont chew every last piece u will have a live one in side u because they all group together to form one
THE CREEK!!!! I have a creek, but i don't think it has any slime molds in it. (I actuall just learned about slime molds in science class like, two days ago, so I haven't really been looking, but if there was something like that in the creek, I'd notice.) Also, My friend peed on something like that once and it grew up and covered his entire 16 foot tree in 3 days. Before that, it was a small blob with a diameter of about 7cm. Needless to say, the tree did not make it.
Dude, thats a tree fungus shit. You lie you lie!
