WAR ON DRUGS NOT WORKING, Drugs are cheaper, more available, Drug gangs created. Prohibition didn't work with alcohol and its not working with drugs. Check out the BBC documentary on youtube called "The Truth about Heroin" .. very interesting

Others enter rehab centres where they receive counselling and are put to work on a farm etc to keep them busy. I agree as far as drink and smoking are concerned.

The difference is though, there's not nearly as many people being victimised, mugged and robbed for the sake of feeding a drink habit when compared with that of a heroin user.

@tiganhonda My point exactly instead of giving them methadone which most hard heroin users sell, give them heroin (along with counselling and other supports) so they wont have to Mug Rob or turn to prostitution to support a habit and putting money into drug dealers hands. Check out the documentary i mentioned (The Truth about Heroin). Its an eye opener.. And Alcohol accounts for more health problems, social problems, violence than any other drug.

@tiganhonda .. The "Treatment" that is offerd to heroin users is ANOTHER DRUG Methadone, Which some of them sell to get heroin Methadone doesnt work for them all.. If you stabilise someone on the drug they have a problem with you can begin to work on the issues \ problems that causes them to use drugs in the first place, may be some counselling etc. Better than them having to go out robbing to get it.. Look at the documentary
