"It is not the language of painters, but the language of nature which one should listen to...The feeling for things themselves, for reality, is more important than the feeling for the picture."
Wow. I personally, and I stress personally, do not regard this as art that inspires me at all. In fact if I applied my personal definition of art, I would not consider this art at all. Now, I am not saying it isn't art, because it obviously is to some people, but to me it is not. For me art has to be something that takes talent to conceive, and inspires me. If this art invokes positive feelings for people, that's great, but if someone were to give this to me... In the trash it would go...
it's an impossibility to gather a painting such as this in an ordinary camera video setting. One must experience it in person to get the affect of the painting upon you. I do admire your willingness to try to capture it for us who cannot be there to see it in person. But next time, bring a tripod.
I am very flattered, but right now I use these museum works because they alienate me. I feel a certain push pull with the larger art world, I want to be a part of it, but politically, I do not. I feel that you are an artist of proletariat size, as am I. So, until I can resolve the democratic problems of institutions, as well as their processes, I must continue to use antiquited artist's as subject matter for my own work.
Neither, It is simply a collaboration between the artist's work and me. I am demonstrating how the information of this Ryman is easily supsecptible to new readings because of the work's atmosphere. So, to be clear, Ryman's rank is unimportant to me, but the work is an important tool for this demonstration.

I think you should be commended for capturing the true experience of Robert's work as it relates to a gallery setting.

Stuart is well annoying. His comments are taking me away from the ethereal enjoyment of your video piece.
