  • Funny how you find things on YouTube you never looked for before. Must say nice demo and cool song. From Alberta. Peace!

  • @superstud666 Sorry you don't like my tattoos. I REALLY wanted to impress you too..... I guess you will just have to be someone Else's SuperStud......

  • I WANT ONE my current "eletric uke" is a really raw sound as its just a soprano nylon 20 quid job with an eletric guitar tuner pickup mic thing plugged into a bass guitar amp and turned up really loud. it sounds ok and is full marks for improvisation but thats about it.

  • Nice Stratocaster. And if people in the background get too loud, you can just turn up the volume.

  • awesome

  • awesome

  • I play one of those. See my videos, people!

  • love the song you should try and get it recorded

  • love the the space oddity vid would you consider doin any morrissy stuff on the stick cheers man

  • have you tuned this to gcea its sounds cool there pricey though there chattin £170 ill be gettin one in a week or so cheers man

  • yep, tuned to standard C tuning. And yep, they are a little pricey. I paid about $300US 7 years ago for mine direct from the manufacturer. But that also included a pocket amp (which is great!) Only difference between this and a standard soprano uke is you will need to use Tenor strings, as the sopranos aren't long enough. Happy rockin!

  • hi there sirant ..i thought it was im looking for the same one i have a standard sop uke at the mo nice vid

  • Pretty sure its not a saprano. Could be a baratone though, still not sure.

  • hi there is that a soprano uke

  • Yep, it is in fact a soprano. It has 14 playable frets only because it doesnt have a body to get in the way.

  • it sounds so great!!!

maybe I buy an electric ukulele, too.

  • that's so cool man. you're an inspiration. keep uking

  • dang thats tight

  • nice!

  • What size ukulele is that?

  • thanks for your feedback. also, what is the sound like without an amp? are those nylon strings? thanks again! you sure are popular on here!

  • Yep, nylon strings. That's what it came with so that's what I replaced the originals with. Though I had to use tenors strings as the soprano ones I had lying around were too short. Without an amp there is very little sound, more a gentle twang only you can here. Perfect for practicing late at night or on a plane/bus full of people. Mine came bundled with a little pocket amp, which is amazingly nice, so I could quietly rock at all hours.

  • is that thing hard to play? it looks like it would be more difficult than a regular uke.

  • Actually I find it easier. Some people have said it is tough to keep a hold on while really rocking, but I don't think so at all. In fact not having the tuning pegs and headstock in the way makes it easier to do bar chords. At least I think so. It also comes with a decent strap which can make it much more stable, but I rarely ever use it.

  • wow

  • haha dude i gotta get me one of these mofos!!!

  • What site can I go to, to buy one? Buy the way I like your song bro.

  • ukulele(dot)de

    i'm getting one soon ^^

  • This is the single most awesome thing I have ever seen. Where can I buy one and where can I get that riff?

  • The uke is a Risa Ukestick, I bought mine from the manufacturer in Germany. I have only ever seen them online. The song is mine, called Slippin. The chords are instructions for playing are in More Info.

  • very sweet song, you write it??

  • Yep. A cross between an original tune and a finger warm up. Glad you liked it!

  • Woo! You're Canadian like I am! :D

I'm having so much trouble finding lessons and extra uke strings in ontario.. 'cause I'm not allowed buying things off the internet yet..

  • thank you now i can pick and yours was the first

  • Wow! Great uke work and cool song.I hope to check out this German uke when I go to Germany. I am thinking tenor model. Love your Canada flag too!

  • Great job with your song, really enjoyed :) . If you haven't checked yet you should look up the Mandobird ukulele conversion video on Youtube. I'm trying to decide which electric uke to get, either a kind like yours or do a mandobird conversion. Let me know what you think :D

  • checked it out, looks rocking indeed! Would love to try one!

  • Haha, this may sound stupid, but after watching this video, all I wanted for Christmas was a Ukulele, so that's all I asked for, and lo and behold that's what I got! I was so excited, and the first thing i played was this song. So thank you for putting this video on the internet, and hopefully it's inspired other people as well!

  • Not stupid at all! Thanks for the comment and I am glad to have been able to spread the aloha!

  • My computer wont let me see the more info section, would someone copy and paste it into a comment please?

Apart from that, it sound great!

I'm also considering this uke and a honeytone :)

  • whats the strumming? wht directions ie. up down up

  • Thanks for showing this, Sirant.

This is definitely my next ukulele!

Any advice for a cheap little amp?

I'm thinking of a Danelectro Honeytone.

    ?

Thanks again, and 5 stars for this informative vid!

  • I never tabbed anything before in my life, but I will give it a go for you guys. Gimmie a little while to figure out how to do it and I will.

  • Thanks for all the info. I just got mine delivered yesterday! Unfortunately I am not home right now to plug it into my micro cube... but it sounds great "unplugged" & I can't wait to hear it plugged in!

  • Does it have a headphone jack too?

  • the uke has no headphone jack, just a standard jack like all electric guitars. However the kit I ordered also came with a honeytone pocket amp, which has a headphone jack and effects built in.

  • what song you playin? any ideas for where to get tabs for it? beutiful sound. hoping to get myself a martin soon.

  • I haven't tabbed it out yet, but it is one of my own. Glad you liked it!

  • but u roc at the ukulele

  • omg this thing is so cool im such a die hard ukulel fan ive been playing it for years now and i just have to have one of those plzplzplzplz write back and tell me were you got one of those so i can have one...PLZ!

  • I ordered mine years ago straight from the company in Geermany. Do a Google search for Risa ukestick and I am sure you can find one.

  • have you heard of beirut, zach condon's band? great uke parts in his music. if you haven't heard him, give beirut a listen on youtube

  • AWESOME

  • Very nice friend, can you do some quick hammer on and pull offs on the a string and e and c strings? You can make it sound just like a guitar rocker, its awesome..I say people who do that are way more badass than those who do a guitar, I mean making a cool sound is easy in guitar, you have to simulate some sounds on a uke. Great work.

  • hay, your excelant! i love your videos, and i love this ukulele!

would you say the ukulele is a fairly easy instrument to get the hang of?

    thankyou

    Rated: 5 Stars

  • I tried to learn guitar for 6 years and never got the hang of it. Ukulele on the other hand I picked in in hours. I recommend anyone and everyone give it a go!

    good luck.

  • hi, only me again, in my last comment i ment to ask for a heavy metal pedal video, not death metal pedal,, thankyou =]

  • I have a heavy metal pedal bck in Canada, but not here. I only have my overdrive. But I will see if I cant find one....

  • ok, thanks.

  • hi, i just sent you a message a muinit ago, and i was wandering, if its not to much to ask, if you could please, if you have a death metal pedal, make a video of it, please. thankyou :)

  • Wow, you are all so nice, I guess I better stsrt making some more electric uke vids soon!

    Keep on rocking all!

  • This is the video that made me want to pick up the uke! I love the flanger effect! The only thing is I forgot about this clip, but went and learned the instrument. I couldn't figure out why I wanted an electric, so I I went and got an acoustic... DAMMIT! Love it, man!

  • If i can use all this stuff with a guitar amp then i might by an electric mandolin and an electric uke.

  • I decided to buy one of these after I saw this video... thanks for making this demo!

  • Great demo, and nice tune too. I bet that'd sound nice with some wah too.

  • sweet. thats a neat instrument.

  • Thanks for the demo! Good that you like this uke. I designed it in 2001. Meanwhile, it's one of the best selling electric ukes worldwide. RISA Musical Instruments

  • hmm.. i love it keep tup the good work =)

  • What amp you using?

  • It's a song I am writing myself.... No name yet.
