@superstud666 Sorry you don't like my tattoos. I REALLY wanted to impress you too..... I guess you will just have to be someone Else's SuperStud......
I WANT ONE my current "eletric uke" is a really raw sound as its just a soprano nylon 20 quid job with an eletric guitar tuner pickup mic thing plugged into a bass guitar amp and turned up really loud. it sounds ok and is full marks for improvisation but thats about it.
yep, tuned to standard C tuning. And yep, they are a little pricey. I paid about $300US 7 years ago for mine direct from the manufacturer. But that also included a pocket amp (which is great!) Only difference between this and a standard soprano uke is you will need to use Tenor strings, as the sopranos aren't long enough. Happy rockin!
Yep, nylon strings. That's what it came with so that's what I replaced the originals with. Though I had to use tenors strings as the soprano ones I had lying around were too short. Without an amp there is very little sound, more a gentle twang only you can here. Perfect for practicing late at night or on a plane/bus full of people. Mine came bundled with a little pocket amp, which is amazingly nice, so I could quietly rock at all hours.
Actually I find it easier. Some people have said it is tough to keep a hold on while really rocking, but I don't think so at all. In fact not having the tuning pegs and headstock in the way makes it easier to do bar chords. At least I think so. It also comes with a decent strap which can make it much more stable, but I rarely ever use it.
The uke is a Risa Ukestick, I bought mine from the manufacturer in Germany. I have only ever seen them online. The song is mine, called Slippin. The chords are instructions for playing are in More Info.
Great job with your song, really enjoyed :) . If you haven't checked yet you should look up the Mandobird ukulele conversion video on Youtube. I'm trying to decide which electric uke to get, either a kind like yours or do a mandobird conversion. Let me know what you think :D
Haha, this may sound stupid, but after watching this video, all I wanted for Christmas was a Ukulele, so that's all I asked for, and lo and behold that's what I got! I was so excited, and the first thing i played was this song. So thank you for putting this video on the internet, and hopefully it's inspired other people as well!
Thanks for all the info. I just got mine delivered yesterday! Unfortunately I am not home right now to plug it into my micro cube... but it sounds great "unplugged" & I can't wait to hear it plugged in!
the uke has no headphone jack, just a standard jack like all electric guitars. However the kit I ordered also came with a honeytone pocket amp, which has a headphone jack and effects built in.
omg this thing is so cool im such a die hard ukulel fan ive been playing it for years now and i just have to have one of those plzplzplzplz write back and tell me were you got one of those so i can have one...PLZ!
Very nice friend, can you do some quick hammer on and pull offs on the a string and e and c strings? You can make it sound just like a guitar rocker, its awesome..I say people who do that are way more badass than those who do a guitar, I mean making a cool sound is easy in guitar, you have to simulate some sounds on a uke. Great work.
I tried to learn guitar for 6 years and never got the hang of it. Ukulele on the other hand I picked in in hours. I recommend anyone and everyone give it a go!
hi, i just sent you a message a muinit ago, and i was wandering, if its not to much to ask, if you could please, if you have a death metal pedal, make a video of it, please. thankyou :)
This is the video that made me want to pick up the uke! I love the flanger effect! The only thing is I forgot about this clip, but went and learned the instrument. I couldn't figure out why I wanted an electric, so I I went and got an acoustic... DAMMIT! Love it, man!
Thanks for the demo! Good that you like this uke. I designed it in 2001. Meanwhile, it's one of the best selling electric ukes worldwide. RISA Musical Instruments
Funny how you find things on YouTube you never looked for before. Must say nice demo and cool song. From Alberta. Peace!

Nice Stratocaster. And if people in the background get too loud, you can just turn up the volume.
