  • this song is brutal :D

  • I only liked Antares, I wasn't too impressed with there other albums. This one I liked all the songs, the others I liked maybe 1.

  • This is my theme song, I wake up every day listening to it and its the first song I blast before going to work. ;o

  • This is my new favorite band, its like a black metal fear factory (old ff).

  • This song is an example of what I, as a drummer, like to call "sex for my ears".

  • Wish I would've found these guys 4 years ago...

    Better late than never. :D

  • cannot wait for the new shit!!!

  • "There's no more way to reverse destiny or destroy reality"

  • dirk verbeuren=most underated metal drummer on earth. the guy is a drumming cyborg.

  • play from 3:43 OMG i just well im not gonna say what i just did needless to say WOW ahhhhhh XD \m/-_-\m/

  • Best song I've ever heard

  • 00:23 is so fucking much Meshuggah..... but so fucking much better :D

  • @NitroCoasters except it's not better, just different. Both are epic.

  • @NitroCoasters

    Everyone "steals" from Meshuggah.

  • @747823 No, Getting inspired is the right thing to say. You see, in the metal world you can say at almost any band, at any song "They stole this riff from that song from that band!!". While the artist who wrote the song maybe doesn't even know he has "stolen" a riff, so that's why I call it getting inspired. I mean, it's always the same notes they play, only the order on how they play it is different. And all those combinations one day will end. Resulting in guitars with even more strings lol

  • @NitroCoasters

Obviously. I'm anti- intellectual property anyway so I wouldn't care even if it was "stolen". :)

  • @NitroCoasters Every riff has been pretty much been done it's just a matter of changing speed, order and length. I think it was Rob Zombie who said that Black Sabbath already did everything and everyone that follows steals from or is "inspired" by them whether they know it not.

  • Dirk is a beast on the drums.

  • One of the GREAT tracks of Sybreed! and sound like my band :D. PD: Dimmu Borgir + Meshuggah = Xerath.

  • The piano/guitar part sounds like pure demonic epicness while the superb drummer blasts beats that make the ears pop with awe. Sybreed is AMAZING.

  • If you like Sybreed, check out AMERAKIN OVERDOSE on reverbnation and you can see some of their videos on my page. They are a new up and coming band from the NW with a very unique sound and a great live show. They play a mix of Metal / Industrial / Trance type of music. Leave some comments and let your friends know.

  • all songs in this album hav sick beginnings

  • sick instrumentals

  • shitttttttt this band is fuckin epic just found out about them today, epic doesnt even describe them its beyond epic

  • @jydjr2002

Figures. There from Switzerland. All polish/switz metal bands rock.

Behemoth and dead by april being other examples.

Man all americans got are Nile and lamb of god

  • @narutoman93 America actually got tons of good band, such as the post metal pioneers Neurosis ("A Sun that Never Sets" is an amazing album) and Isis (I love "Panopticon"). My favorite metal subgenre is avant-garde I think, and there are very good avant garde metal bands such as Yakuza (I reccomend "way of the dead") or Azure Emote ("Chronicles of an Aging Mammal").

    And maaany more.

  • dirk majestically raped this song .kudos sybreed for keeping metal alive

  • Sybreed's take on Straws Pulled at Random, kind of. Awesome anyhoo.

  • 3.43 ... nuff said.

  • The synths in the background are definitely up there with the best of symphonic black metal.

Majestic track. Makes me want to throw chairs, drink beer and stomp a kitten. YUS!

  • This is roughly how I design songs in my head, shame I have found noone who could play them.... :(

  • man sybreed really need a video clip aye

  • Any other bands that are like sybreed..or a dark halo?

  • @hockeyluva77

    meshuggah

  • @hockeyluva77 it sucks a dark halo isn't together anymore. one album and done. they had so much potential, they could've made many more awesome albums

  • @hockeyluva77 Celldweller & Blue Stahli. Very Awesome!

  • @Vito126 I tottaly agree ... but "A Dark Halo" & Sybreed are metal ...

I would label Celldweller & "Blue Stahli" as Electronic (punk/metal/rock)

  • @hockeyluva77 You might like Silent Descent too (:

  • BAD ASS! sybreed makes me wanna start a battle right now =P

  • haha

  • Sounds to me like a black metal meshuggah. Just a bit.

  • Also, strapping young lad. I think theres just a bit of straping in there too.

  • Black Wutal

  • love the symphonic feel

  • This doesn't sound like Meshuggah at all man. But I like it!

  • listen to emma-o that sounds like meshuggah

  • This sounds -ALOT- Like Meshuggah! AND I LOVE IT :)

  • Static-X compared to this band is less than nothing..

  • dirk's drumming is flawless! \m/

  • singer sounds exactly like the guy from Mors Principium Est

  • Every song on this album is great. Isolate and this are my 2 favorites though, amazing songs! The part from 4:14 onward is just spine tingling, its so epic and large scale sounding, I can't contain my emotion. The feeling is so overwhelming and beautious that it can't be explained in words. Sybreed did a spectacular job on this album, The next one will follow similar fashion. Of course, not forgetting how awesome slave design was. Thanks for your music sybreed, its exhilirating!

  • industrial space metal with prog.math influences. new album will own all.

  • These guys should make the theme song of Mass Effect 2. Amazing stuff....

  • I was actually thinking the other day how well their sound fits that universe, the intro to "Isolate" makes me think of a ship traveling through hyperspace, or in a giant space battle.

  • @Synteh71cz agreed

  • DIRK \m/

  • This song sounds like Dimmu Borgir getting raped by Meshuggah. Grand black theatre of the cosmic kind!

  • You got it bro, you got it ^^

  • fuck yea

  • I think it might be even more. To me it sounds like Meshuggah and Dimmu Borgir spitroasting Strapping Young Lad. :D

  • @SabuPtolemy You know I just listened to dimmu borgir's progenies and then listened to this song, and had almost the same thought.

  • This song has so many different styles within it it would be impossible to classify. I mean, i hear hints of math metal, black metal, goth rock, industrial...

This is amazing. I've never heard anything like it before. So deep and powerful, the whole song is a rollercoaster ride.

  • Math metal? oO

  • synth metal

  • wtf is math metal?

  • It's a fan-made term for bands that use unconventional time signatures. Listen to Meshuggah for a better idea of what it is. Note, however, that most bands that play this style usually deny the idea of math metal, mostly because it's, like i said, a fan-made term.

  • oh ok thats interesting. thanks.

  • Math metal is joke name given to bands who use strange time signatures in their music. This is not math metal at all it uses 4/4.

  • Actually Sybreed decribe their sound as Death Wave. Combination between Death Metal and new wave.

  • @BlackHeartGraffiti I heard they classified themselves as industrialized melodic death.

  • @soradakey Death wave.

  • its industrial metal but they themselves describe it as new death wave, honestly IMO i dont care what it is cause its good

  • Awesome song dude!

  • Amazing song

    Sybreed kicks so much ass.

  • Dude, please put up bioactive, I love that song =D

  • Yeh i have now uploaded it! Just needs to be verified now! So keeping checking.

  • this kicks ass

  • TBH, Ive heard some song of Sybreed, and i say they sure know how to rock. 5/5 ^^

  • Holy shit! This stuff is awesome! And how the hell does Dirk have any free time? ha ha. He's in so many bands! I want him in my band, too!

  • Dirk Verbueren did the drums for this tune....check him out hes fuckin mental

  • this is so good these guys are so good aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Could you upload Twelve Megatons Gravity please?

  • yeh no problem!! Just keep on checking, should be up soon! cheers for all the comments you guys!! To be fair, this band is FUCKIN AWESOME!!
