  • dunno if this helps you digital people but on an analog modular it is --> secuence into osc, then sawtooth out into mixer, sub octave square wave into mixer, mixer out into light notch pass filter then into vca, attack almost on min, sustain on max and release almost on min, then into germanium fuzz on high gain et voila, le waters of nazareth bass :D

  • I have a Razor tutorial on my channel if anyone's interested :3

  • ANAYIN AMI GONSUSMA LAAAN PESEVENK

  • subbed bcos of this :)

  • dude. thankyou.

  • Lucky Date = Best Tutorials on YouTube. I wanna see you live now!!

  • sound isnt coming out. IDK why. help please?

  • wtf. "The worst blackhead ever" in related videos. WHY?!

  • You're the man!!!

  • kudos, friend.

  • The only issue I have is the way the sound is oscillating is causing it to drop here and there. It's not sustaining it's power. Yea the sustain is all the way up on thor. I know it's because of the multi OSC so I'm wondering if there is another way to create this sound.

  • @MittenDorfDNB Make sure both on the Amp is all the way up, not the filter.

  • lmfo

  • brilliant! thanks lucky

  • Wait til I get the hang of using this (;c

  • yeah, you are the only one with good quality video and audio is easy to follow, keep it up

  • fuck man i cant get it to work. you should have shown what you did with the other compressor cuz after i sidechained it got all fucked up.

  • hey i know you sort of covered it in the end, but when i tried to sidechain it it fucked up the sound. how do i fix it?

  • lol youtube. artist: create

  • Comment removed

  • AMAZING!! IT sounds exacly like justice!!

  • How'd you learn to do this?

  • this tutorial is the best shit on youtube, thank you!

  • How can I connect my synthesizer to the computer? which cable i need for that? where are the settings for that? please respond

  • @lazicsale which synth do you have?

  • @lazicsale are you using an interface??

  • @happystudio1 no

  • Amazing,thank u very much,but could u show us how u put the notes,please?

  • @Lele93netz learn to do it by ear, it's not that hard.

  • thanks dude!!

  • I hope reason pays you for this haha

  • please teach us how to do a real trance bass like armin van buuren and others that would be really appreciated :))

  • @r0cker6 it's called "super-saw synth" u can find a tutoriial here.

  • Love your videos, your music is ILL! Thanks alot, hope to catch you in LA or OC sometime.

  • yours is much "hissier" than justices but good remake

  • Funkyass monkey, nice tut!

  • I followed the video exactly but mine is so distorted the base dosent come through at all.

  • you said you used 2 compressors in the sidechaining. how do you do that? like in a serie?

i mean, the output of the first compressor linked to the input of the second compressor?

  • pattern lane?

  • You need to show how to get rid of that incredibly horrible delay.

  • Im sorry dude... is this Reason thing a program, a patch for FL, or wut? sry dude.. excellent tutorial will watch it again

  • @dof0x Reason is a synth software and recording program, it is used for most electronic music, it is an entirely different program, and it is quite expensive,

  • the notes in your phrase are off. it's not how the melody goes. cool tutorial though!

  • just add lots of compression? nice in other words just let the kids figure it out themselves! I thought you bass sucks personally! Little weak! Anyhow you tutorials really suck! do this this this and this and it sounds like this! Nice! Buddy!

  • @thezook33per2010 What part didn't make sense? It's all there.

  • @evelsteev Then why didn't you show your "side chain?" Otherwise, it's sounds pretty shitty.

  • @evelsteev Hey, Sidechaining in Reason is quite simple: 1. Create a compressor and remove its cables. 2. create a Redrum with a Bassdrum-Sample and remove its cables 3. Connect the "Audio Output" of Redrum to the sidechain input of the compressor 4. Take the Audio Output of the synth (in this case the scream 4 output) and connect it to the compressor input 5. The compressor output needs to be connected to the mixer, so that you hear the synth 6. on comp: hi threshold and ratio. Bumpy ride yo!!!

  • how do you get that slide at end of the sequence

  • @ch4os420 Right click on the pitch wheel and click edit automation, then draw a slope downwards and the pitch will slide down :)

  • @ch4os420 Did you get an answer for this? it seems to be used a lot like Click by Mstrkrft. Does anyone know how?

  • how did you made this clap/snare???

  • For these five minutes and seventeen seconds, you are the most important person in the world.

  • @mastahcylindah I have been trying for months now to get Justice sound and i found this video!

  • great tutorial!

  • i did everything right, but it didnt play the preview

  • yall know justice is gonna end up changing there sound cause of this. watch next album yall are gonna be like DAMN now how do i do that sound??

  • What does a combinator do ?

  • @pigeon126 its in the name lol it combines all the devices which connects to the mixer. It basically keeps everything clean.

  • @pigeon126 it allows you to control multiple instruments through one midi channel and one audio output. it 'combines' them.

  • erm help me, nothing plays atall?

  • Phantom Pt.1

  • Who the fuck uses reason!!!!!!!! That distortion sounded like ass, you need some analog gear to get the sound your looking for, or at least some hi quality plugs

  • @ryanlk Not everyone can afford analog.

stop being such a smart ass.

  • @ryanlk Oh sorry, you must have lots of analog gear, your channel is very inspiring. Why don't you show us some of your analog tech. yeah? Nah, didn't think you fucking could. Bet you can't even afford Reason, let alone an analog synthesizer.

  • @JamesMartinDavies List of Gear: Monitors: KRK VXT's, Yamaha NS-10's W/Bryston 4B ST amplifier. DA/AD converters: Lynx aurora 16. Digi 002 slaves via light pipe to Aurora 16. Monitoring controller: Coleman Audio QS8... Mic Pre's: 2 Api 512c's and 4 digi pre's from the 002 (which sound like shit). Analog compressor: Elysia Xpressor 500 Computer: Mac Pro 8GB of ram, 8 processors, two terabyte HD's. Software: PT's 9, Logic 9. Plug-ins: Basically everything that has been cracked!

  • @ryanlk Go you. how many releases you have under your belt thou, badboy????

  • @LUKUS909 none

  • @JamesMartinDavies Oh and if you're going to use distortion ITB .... don't use reason bull shit... go for nice plugs like soundtoys not terrible reason crap.

  • @ryanlk Only like 75% of the DnB fraternity use Reason.

And what the fuck you talk about "hi quality plugs" , when you freely admit you use cracks.

    Fucking looser.

  • did this in reason 5 and it sounded nothing alike.. dosent work on reason 5?

  • @alexalex83 try to do it exactly as the guy in the video, i have done it on reason 5 and worked well :)

  • @alexalex83 remember to initialize your plugins (thor and scream). Do it by right-clicking and select "initialize patch"

  • For those of you having issues reproducing this sound using this tutorial: You probably have Reason set to auto-load a default patch whenever you add a new piece of equipment to the rack (the "load default sound in new devices" checkbox in Preferences).

When you add the Thor (or anything else for that matter) to the rack, make sure it's in the Init state. If it isn't, just right-click it and select "Initialize Patch" to clear out the current patch and give you a blank slate to start from.

  • @deutscherjoel THANKYOU

  • ANOTHER tutorial where he doesn't play the recipe after cooking the whole thing. I followed this to the letter and got the same results that a few of you have, a nasty noise with a ridiculous sustain that sounds nothing like the sound he's trying to emulate at the beginning. I appreciate you taking the time to do these homie, but your follow through leaves a bit to be desired.

  • @sharkcellar To clean up the "nastiness" of this patch, if you follow his tutorial to the letter, pull the detune amount knob (just below detune mode rollout) down to 20 for both osc 1 and 2. You should also turn off the delay in the upper right hand corner. The ADSR settings for the amp env that work for me are A=0, D=2.24s, S=0.0db, and R= 3.2 ms.

    I hope this helps.

  • How much is this program and what is it called??:)

  • @zacoree13 It's reason bro, this is version 4 but they came out with a version 5 with even more stuff on it. Pick it up my man, it's basically the shit

  • @commisarof758 Is it better then fl?

  • @zacoree13 lol seriously? reason is one of the best DAWs out there....FL is okei i sometimes still use it but reason is amazing....along with ableton i believe is the best wombo combo...only better one is pro tools in my opinion but definetely give reason a try man....it will blow ur mind

  • @spontaneous09 Fuckkkk I want it but its expensive ;O

  • I have followed your tutorial serveral times. But it just sound has a terrible release. Sounds like a thunder. The Thor is making the mess I think. I've bypassed the Scream 4 and it's still shitty. Could it be that I have the Reason 5? The presets when opening the Thor looks a bit different, but I've tried to look at your tutorial and "clean up".

Thanx for Your nice tutorials!!! :-)

  • Thanks a lot, this is a great tutorial, but i´ve had the same problem like lshidda, the sound echoes way too much, some help would come in very handy :-)

  • Now That is justice

  • Thank youTHANK YOU SO MUCH

  • coolest bass, is good for every genre

  • I followed diretions exactly but the sound echoes WAYYYY TOO MUCH any help please?

  • THANK YOU!

  • how do you make the bass dive like that at the begging?

  • this sounds like ass!!!! It sounds like a midi version of a Justice song, I'm not really sure how thats possible!!!!

  • @ryanlk and justice doesn`t use midi instruments for his songs ASSHOLE???????!!!

  • @X001003 Justice isnt one person so you can say his 2. They use Cubase and am sure they use midi to trigger samples/synths like all modern pop production. I was saying that this sounds like a "midi' version of Justice style production, not saying this tutorial isnt helpful, just that the sounds are bit off and cheesy. As you heard he is using vengeance house collection samples, which are very popular these days, but I think are more for R&B pop sound then the more rich organic justice sound

  • woot phantom at the begining!

  • thanks for the info. I will try it out.

  • man your vids explained so much stuff that I was still trying to figure..you rock mate!!!

  • Great! But what was it you automated?

  • You're the best!

  • but moog is moog man

  • @jsemdevka yeah fuck that shit

  • Hey, you should make tutorial how to make "Huoratron - Gbay bass" in reason 4 :D It would be interesting to hear.

  • Synth Request : How do you make the bass sound from Noisia's Alpha Centauri.

The massive bass sound they get is incredible.

    Thanks.

  • Synth Request : HOw do you make the bass sound from Noisia's Alpha Centauri.

The massive bass sound they get is incredible.

    Thanks.

  • how u know all this? good vids by the way

  • OH MY JESU!!! I JSUT CAME~~~! ghawwaww

  • what is the synth patch u use?

  • shit i only have ableton live !

  • @tapakrovish time to get reason :D

  • @nick20200 yeah but as a sequencer i prefer ableton !

  • @tapakrovish you can rewire reason to ableton.

  • Can't you play it as you go along?

  • hey i did the exact same thing as you, every knob, fader, level, &c is the same including the init patch

but i dont get the same deep sound. my sound is always higher pitched. why?

  • @lajungesombre - Check your octaves. Also, depending on the type of controller you're using it might have it's own octave settings and make sure you're using the right chord progression. He also mentioned using two (maybe more) compressors as well as maximizing. Good luck.

  • anybody know where you can get the slap bass :)? Like samples maybe? thx [:

  • Dude, you ROCK at Reason!!!

    SICK tone BTW.....

  • This is the shit , respect!

  • At least someone is'nt being selfish ;-)

Thanks for this vital info you share with us,we have ideas and music in our heads 2 :)

By learning to do the things you do,we can accomplish our dreams !! thanks bro

  • @kream7378 HIGHLY AGREEABLE :)

  • @kream7378 there was a post on a forum website where this guy listed all the equipment JUSTICE uses and it ended up being deleted. and they say that use pretty much nothing VST's and a couple hardware gear.

  • Comment removed

  • how do u make the slowing down kinda sound at 26seconds and 32 seconds? Is it just a pitch bend?

  • @olyjersey try the glitch vst. its called tape stop.

  • one or two of your notes are wrong man... just after the breakdown...

  • Your reason tutorials are amazing! Thanks so much! May I ask how and where you learned so much about synths and stuff? I'd like to someday be at a skill level where I can know what each knob does instead of just playing around and praying for a cool effect.

    Thanks!

  • You ROCK!!! ive been trying to create this bass for so long!!

  • Im wondering what is automated in the green clip

  • Definately the best made tutorial I have seen for Reason to this date. you explained everything in great detail and it was EXTREMELY easy to follow. THANKK YOU!!!!

  • your tutorials have been of great help!!! if you take requests then could you post a tutorial on how to create synth sounds that danger uses? or 8-bit synth sounds like crystal castles? it would be much appreciated!!!

  • have u checked ur output source?

Go to the top of the reason window - Edit, Preferences, Sound and check your output.

  • omg, u tried to play the compressor? :D why not try to play the cables or the rack instead :D :D

Btw.. select a sampler or synth, and check the cables doood ;)... inside the combi i meant :D

  • It's all cool but how do you get that swing to it?

  • How can I have your patch ? (like Init patch) because when I'm in "thor" or "scream 4" I haven't got them.

    Please, answer.

  • @roroleboss34

    init patch means initialize patch
