  • I gotta say I'm somewhat dissappointed in my SP DD35a...its so "Plain Jane" insofar as detail is concerned...not to mention that its 3 inches smaller that the MTH DD40AX that I sold on ebay to make room for this engine (many regrets now).

  • The DD35As were 88ft, the DDA40Xs were 98ft 6in.

  • Very nice. I'm hoping I can make my layout realistic and nice. I'v already bought some things. I can't wait to get my train.

  • I love that engin

  • are those Bachman trains??

  • @PREZILLA2009 No, the engine is made by Lionel.

  • My DD35a is in...yet I don't remember ordering one...lol. Apparently I ordered the Southern Pacific version...I'll have it Friday night.

  • @Broncort1

don't you hate when that happens

  • @roberttrains not necessarily :-)

  • are you going to get the vision line baldwin centipedes when they are released?

  • @AloneIStand454 Yes, I've already ordered one.

  • love it its a bummer that none of the dd35s were preserved

  • Thanks Eric for another great review. I was at one of the hobbyshop vendors today at the WGH Train Show in Chicago. He had a powered U.P. and Milwaukee Road DD35A's for about $539.00 but, I opted for the Santa Fe AC6000 Warbonnet next to it instead for $430.00. Keep up the grat reviews. Lookin forward to that Ice Cold set.

  • Nice Engine Eric! What kind of camera do you use, I like the quality!

  • is it posible for y to do a night run? If it is can u try to do 1 sometime ;) and thnks if u do i like ur vids there ausome haha:)

  • Too funny! People whine about was others run for trains! HAHA!

  • that is a awesome locomotives wear can i get one

  • @carshowkiosk Watch the last minute of the video and I give the store info for where you can pick one up.

  • It seems that lionel produces the most union pacific items, from locomotives to rolling stock, every year

  • Awesome.

  • Sweet Eric. Thats one looooooong engine! Looks and sounds fantastic

  • just wanna say i love your videos and keep up the legacy stuff!

  • do they have fright or passenger cars that have sound boards in them? ive always wanted to have cars like that because without those normal air hose sounds and screeches they make in real life it just sounds so boring you know?

  • Another GREAT Review Eric!!! I always learn something from each of your videos!

Thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos!!!

  • it sems that all of the things that it is missing or wroung you could add your self. like paint over the "dependable transportation" and add a decal saying "we deliver". buy a little led strobe light and make some sun screens out of brass or chip board. i also know you did a view on the MTH DD40ax butcould you do an uptaded reveiw on that and on the Union Pacific M-K-T (KATY) Heritage unit made by MTH or Lionel, im not shure you makes the one have/

    Thankyou

  • take a deep breath, I love that comment!

  • Would you happen to know where I could get some of the same motors that Lionel uses for their engine would you?

  • Congratulations to Eric on his one millionth awesome engine lol! Another great review and it was nice to learn some history. Thanks. Would be great to see you do the follow-up video on your camera car. Looking forward to buying your new dvd.

  • Do you ever go out to Trainmasters out in Duluth?

  • @AloneIStand454 I've been there once or twice, but I mostly buy from Legacy Station because he gives the best prices hands down.

  • Great review Eric! Lionel did a great job with the sounds of the EMD 567 prime mover.

  • As always well done story about the UP DD35A

  • man i love your reviews

  • Great video Eric! Love the new engine! Thanks for sharing! I took a deep breath when I saw that consist and I feel better! LOL! Thanks!

  • Outstanding video Eric! I really like this engine a lot! I'm looking forward to seeing you review of the BNSF ice cold express!

  • Great video Eric! This is a very amazing engine. And very good 1080hd. A powerful engine but This 23 inch long engine is less powerful your your 18.5 inch long MTH sd70ACe. because MTH includes 12 wheel drive it'll out pull Lionel engines twice as long

    MTH SD70ACe draw bar pull : 2lbs 4ozs

    Lionel DD35 draw bar pull: 2lbs 2ozs

  • that engine is really nice i took a look and some pictures of it

  • Well done as usual. The quality of your camera work is first rate.

  • Awesome review Eric!!! It looks like Lionel did a great job on the DD35A, it looks and sounds great, love the horn! By the way, I finally purchased the materials I need to start my bench work, I can't wait to get my trains off the floor! Of course, as usual my timing is impeccable, I finally start my layout and then Woodland Scenics burns to the ground! Oh well, what are you going to do? Anyways, thanks for the awesome review bro and have a great one!!!

  • @byates59 Thanks, buddy.

  • @byates59 I hear ya man. I can't wait to transfer my central carpet railroad to an actual table or bench. But in live in an apartment so I have to make some room.

  • Great Review as always Eric. Nice Engine, It's a shame about some of the details but all-in-all a really nice engine.

  • Eric, did you watch this product video before bought this engine?

    youtube.com/watch?v=W2MAN_fA9UQ&feature=related

  • @dbdrdbag No, I pre-order the majority of my trains. I ordered this when it was cataloged back in 2010.

  • Thanks, Eric. Another great review. 'O' scalers are spoiled for choice these days.

  • I'm sure MTH would've taken the time to research this engines history to get each detail right Lionel just wanted to pull a fast one just to get on the market after them not caring to put it out until year after it as mentioned in the catalog, on the other hand the model sounds great. Excellent review as always Eric
