  • silkee59 We all know the late masters gave us unbelievable tunes but you can't disqualify this ad lib slow blues just to be "rock blues", so try to listen "Texas blues Jelly Roll" by John Nitzinger in a 1972 Puerto Rico Mar y Sol Festival. Try to be more open minded in all those types of blues. I like swing blues, jump, westcoast, rockblues and modern jazz.

  • Accurate playing and a great voice. 5 stars

  • Damn I've been missing alot. Glad I found your posts. Great Blues picking dude

  • yea great stuff doghouse.very interesting to here someone else play this on a PRS

  • I like your style of guitar work! And I think T-Bone would smile from ear to ear after hearing this! Great soulful blues playin there brother! You is bad ass! Peace!

  • Great stuff Dave.

This is really inspiring. Can I ask what PRS you are using? I have a 98 CE 22 and really struggle to get such a good tone out of it

  • Fantastic Dave....how may guitars do you own..just curious!

    Thanks

  • great!!!

  • great intro

  • Not to take anything away from the talent aspect which is very impressive but I wish all of you who glorify this type of blues would take a look at the source and learn more about tone taste and space please see the T-Bone Stormy Walker video and then try to play like that with the nuance and emotion that he has

  • silkee59,

Are you saying that this one has no emotion? Come on?

  • Not at all it has emotion but to be blunt it is more in context of rock-blues as opposed to blues and it has been over done to death to many notes and distorted tone, those who have not heard the real deal are missing something sorry to me its a thrid rate Allman brothers (which is much better) Please go search T-Bone Walker and learn

  • Just popped over to silkees channel to see how it should be done......Oh dear 1 sub 3 friends and no talent, pretty much the same from all of you self appointed armchair critics

  • Really would love to see me playing this on youtube? or any T-Bone for that fact. Can you read? go check out T-Bone that is what I am saying or continue to listen to rock blues and be happy in your world. And may I ask can we see your wonderful playing ont youtube?

    Ah thought so

  • Bleadbelly1 mentioned you.Very nice

  • buckelastard "Big R" turned me on to your videos Doghousedave. And I must say he is so right about how great a guitarist and vocalist you are. Man I love your sound and choice of music.

  • Amazing playing!

I love your take on it!

  • Awesome!!

Can't tell for sure, but is that a classical hanging behind your right shoulder?

If so, how about posting something on a classical guitar? I've about worn out these keys on this computer listening, over and over, and over again, to all your great stuff (BTW--thanks for the 2 new ones!!)

  • I have to be careful what I say here I gave it 5* did that feel as good for you as it did for me LOL loved it . Best wishes Lindamac ps going to have to play again and share it with someone LOL

  • Ultra cool. Great song, played great. I'm impressed. The vocals fit perfectly too. Keep it up; whatever you're doing is working. This video is now one of my favorites, right next to videos of Billy Gibbons, Yngwie Malmsteen, Stevie Ray, and James Hetfield.

  • hey hearing this music just gave me an idea............you should play sets, then play like back up guitar for a couple of bars so that other people can put in their guitar solos over your music....(since it looks like nobody can come up with instrumentals)....then it would be like one big f'n internet blues jam........could be somthin

  • Greasy Blues Brother! 5 from me!

  • Have Mercy! Have Mercy! Man you blues me away! My beer hasnt ever tasted so good! I like your style of guitar work brother! And I must say you have a great selection of tunes in your repatoire! Have Mercy...keep em comin! Peace brother!
