  • Did anyone else notice how Earnhardt recovered from gettin spun out. looked cool to me

  • I can't believe how ridiculously trashed Marlin's car got. I think part of the reason Morgan McClure lost their restrictor plate dominance is because they lost all their good cars. This one's a total write-off by far, and wasn't the car destroyed in Earnhardt's 1996 wreck the chassis Marlin won most of his restrictor plate races in?

  • @fighthazard They lost their dominance on the plate tracks because Chevrolet was spending almost all their money on Hendrick instead of on all their teams (RCR, Morgan-McClure, SABCO, etc.).

  • Hopefully Wrangler made em strong for what happened.

  • Randy LaJoie was a pretty good driver for a while though. Don't know how Jr even applies to this video.

  • @kasey9fan, like how some people try their damnedest to place blame on Gordon EVERY time?

  • Flat tire=no air pressure which=No grip, its like getting loose and not being able to gain control moron

  • this was really the end of morgan-mcclure dominace at restrictor plate races

  • are these guys BLIND....gordon CLEARLY gets loose....WTF.

  • lol I love how they tried there damnedest to place everyone BUT Gordon for that wreck.. "RICKY CRAVEN DUN IT" NO NO WAIT "JOHN ANDRETTI MOVED OVER AND WRECKED EM". lololol

  • @kasey9fan Because it actually wasn't Jeff's fault. You try driving a car at 195 mph plus when a tire suddenly blows out. If Gordon can't do it, not many people can.

  • @JoeytheHDK I never once blamed Gordon for it lol. They obviously didn't see Gordon blow the tire or they wouldn't of tried so hard to blame that incident on Andretti or Craven. I don't doubt Gordon's ability. Anyone that does is an idiot. So nice try.

  • @kasey9fan Sorry, I misread your comment. Wouldn't have been that contentious if I hadn't.

  • @kasey9fan Gordon didn't blow a tire.

  • 1:20

Dale Earnhardt: no DNF's this season

HELL YEA!! Thats what we like to see!

  • That car Earnhardt drove int his vid was also from the Daytona race?? Geese, that car was freaking durable!!!!!!

  • Imagine what was going through Mayfield's mind at 2:48

  • 1:15 I WANT THAT BUMPER!!!! I COULD GET 20 GRAND FOR IT + A PIECE OF HISTORY :(

  • That was the only 1997 race in which Gordon, Martin, or Jarrett did not crack the top 5.

  • @chrisuncleahmad And all three were involved in the crash. To think, if Jeff didn't finish, DJ would have been 1997 champ.

  • Mark martin never ages.

    he looks the same

  • yeah, and in the 1997 Year in review interview, he did blow a tire :/

  • to those of you that think Jeff Gordon intentionally wrecked everyone, and the tire didn't cut, check 3:40

If you look close enough, you see a small puff of smoke and the car veers to the left at that moment.

  • @MIBFreakPack your an idiot

  • @Dalejr88rox And why is that? Because I observed and saw that with my own two eyes? >_<

  • @MIBFreakPack why would jeff gordon intentionally wreck himself and half the field to have the slim chance of wrecking martin, earnhardt, and jarret? besides, they never give you a good shot of the left side tires. and if there was a puff of smoke, that would be the air releasing out of the tire

  • @Dalejr88rox I never said he intentionally wrecked himself and half the field.

You gotta look close enough at that shot from the in car of Craven's that you will see a puff of smoke come from the left rear tire and his car veers to the left at that moment.

  • @MIBFreakPack oh im so sorry i misread your comment. i apologize

  • @Dalejr88rox it's alright.

  • 2nd place man Mark Earnhardt. theres a new name...

  • it's weird seeing Earnhardt wreck at Daytona/Talladega and it's not a spectacular wreck..

  • 1:10 I have that skittles die-cast!!

  • jeff gordon = total dumbass

  • @nitroboy1212 He had a tire go down, Jeff is a driver who would never cause a crash like that without a reason. In the garage, it was evident a hole was in the tire, and at 190 MPH in a big pack, weird crap happens.

  • @BadBooking stfu jeff gordon is a pitiful driver.

  • @nitroboy1212 As you clearly know nothing about Nascar, you STFU as true fans know that couldnt would never ever be that stupid, its obvious heh ad a tyre go down.

  • @nitroboy1212 and you're a dumbass too...

  • @nitroboy1212 nitroboy1212= even more of a dumbass!

  • @mattprice302 jeff gordon won all those races back then himself....chad knaus won all those races for jimmie...big difference

  • @foxsports123 Yes because Ray Evernham had nothing to do with it. And because Chad Knaus is the one driving all those cars Johnson races and wins in. Idiot

  • the view of the #24 car at 0:15 was the best image ever in NASCAR in the 90s i have to say

  • @DsturbedFan728 let me guess the best sight now is jimmie johnsons car like that

  • @cookieacdc24 actually yes lol

  • @DsturbedFan728 haha howd ik? lol

  • @DsturbedFan728 u wanna know what my fav image is? Seeing Dale Earnhardt Jr slam the wall!

  • @bigfoot2448 i said IN THE NINETIES that was a memorable image, and for some people now, but not me. i haven't hated on jeff in like 4 years

  • @DsturbedFan728 ohh sorry dude my bad!

  • AceSpaceRacer- This was 2 years before Kenseth and Jr came into Cup. Before you get stupid with other people get your damn facts straight.

  • I swear, Mark Martin's car has a magnet that attracts it to these crashes. The phrase "and Mark Martin is involved" was a permanent fixture of Plate Races while I was growing up.

  • 1. Why don't you like Gordon?

    2. I don't like Jimmy Johnson

    3. Yes I do like Irvin's paint job for the race.

  • seeing tht #3 brings back memories

  • why are people talking about jr? he wasnt even full time in NBS at this time!

  • i like how they were blaming andretti at first

  • he wasnt in 1999s pepsi 400 either,

  • That is because there was NO Big One in that race.

  • There really isn't anything you can do when a tire goes flat...it can happen when you don't expect it.

  • lol...I think there's only about 3 "big ones" at Talladega or Daytona that Martin HASN'T been involved in.

The 2007 Daytona 500, 1996 Daytona 500....and I think the other 1997 Talladega race, which he won as the fastest cup race in History.

  • the 1997 race or whenever he won, went caution free

  • Yeah...Gordon clearly cut a tire...all the Jr fans are just trying to get the spotlight off of their terrible driver.

  • I like junior and gordon and neither of them are terrible drivers

  • the bud car was ricky craven in this race gth804f!

  • I'm not stupid I was responding to a idiots comment when he said something about Jeff Gordon

  • Since when is winning twice as a rookie, being the best plate racer and 2-time nationwide champion considered terrible you dumbfuck? Pull the stick out of your ass and quit bashing Jr. for his popularity.

  • Randy LaJoie won two nationwide championships, too.

  • they said andretti moved over, but you can see that gordon got loose because of a tire or something and got into andretti

  • yup, this is how gordon won the cup that year. he pretty much killed all the contenders chances with his bullshit

  • yea i'm sure he meant to cut a tire and take out half the field...you're a fucking idiot

  • i dont give a fuk if he meant it or not. thats how that little faggot won the title that year. end of storry

  • "that little faggot" has 4 titles and leads the points right now. not to mention the title wasn't decided in this one race

  • Very true! Gordon won the championship by 14 points that year. He had to really fight to win that title

  • Oh I forgot one, 98 Bristol-what did Gordon do? bump Rusty out of the way?-there is a difference between moving somebody and just taking them out-IE: 98 Richmond-what did Wallace do to Gorden then?

  • No, he wrecked a lapped car so his teammate Terry Labonte wouldn't catch him for the win- and he was. As for the Richmond incident, Gordon already booted Rusty in '97 at Bristol AND 2 weeks prior in '98 at Charlotte, so don't blame him for a little retaliation. Of course, Jeffy would get his revenge a year later by wrecking Rusty at Loudon. The words pot, kettle and black seem to come to mind here.

  • No I am not a Gordon fan, but I just cant stand "blind fans" who will belive anything but there own driver that is wrong. In 95' Gordon was involved in that accident but it was Schrader who came down on him. In 96' it was Mark Martin who came up and didnt clear Gordon and triggered that big incident. Dont even get me started on listing the crashes Dale started-or his son for that matter.

  • No. Gordon even accepted blame in '95because his car got loose and moved up the banking. In '96, Mark was forced high from contact with John Andretti and Gordon unwisely stuck his nose in. Stop making excuses, and I don't recall a single big crash that Dale started.

  • ok let me tell you some of th crashes dale started he spun rusty wallace in 93 and wallace went fliping thru the infeld he spun dw and front of have the feld at richmond in 1986 he spun terry labonte on the last conner at bristol twice (1995 1999) the list go on and on and that whole thing about excuses you really dont know what your talking about back in 1990mark martin was in the grays areas and dale told nascar and and nascar docked martin 46 points wich costed him the title

  • Wallace blocked Dale and got himself spun out, Dale wrecked DW because he body slammed him the lap before, and Terry already bumped Dale twice that race before being paid back on the last lap. And you know why Mark was penalized? Because he failed inspection, period. The same rules applied to everyone so stop complaining. Mark's team knew the consequences and simply paid the price for an unfair advantage, deliberate or not.

  • how come everytime gordon does something stupid, his imbecile fans try to dig-up something dale dr did stupid? stop making excuses and face the facts.

  • 0:03 lol

  • Humm? Sounds like a typical Earnhardt fan-if you watch and listen he had a left rear tire go flat idiot. You dont become a 4-time champ by causing wrecks like this one. You do however become a 7 time champ by taking out others ie: Earnhardt. Not Petty though-he had class.

  • You mean like the ones he caused in '96 & '95 dega where he spun his own teammate? Btw, Gordon's wrecked plenty for wins before. E.g., 1998 Bristol, 2005 Martinsville, 2006 Chicagoland, and way more than that just for spots. Wipe the sand off your clit and stop bitching just because your pansy ass driver will never be half as good as Earnhardt.

  • gordon spun kenseth because kenseth spun him at bristol... duh

  • Gordon causes another one...big surprise

  • Gordon usually doesn't cause accidents.

  • Umm...What did you say? That's confusing

  • I think Jeff almost had that thing saved.

  • Dam Mark Martin once agian was 2 or 3 feet from a Championchip. Had Mark not had this wreck he woulda won the title if im not mistaken

  • Jarrett lost the title by 14 pts that year, i think mark was about 30 behind, if jarrett woulda made it through clean he woulda had a shot also

  • Wow, look at 2:32 at how Marlin just gets pushed sideways

  • poor martin always had bad luck at dega it costed him championships too. wonder why he hates it so bad.

  • or sprint cup car < winston cup cars

  • Involved in crash (that I know of): 3,4,6,10,16,17,21,23,24,31,36,37,40,41,42,43,77,88,90,94,97,98,99

  • @itsalleternal i think thats right, because i read that there were 23 cars involved

  • if there is a big wreck, rest assure tht mark martin was in it

  • Lol at 2:00 "This was a major wreck" xD

  • STERLING MARTIAN AT 6:34... And now we know the rest of the story... HE'S AN ALIEN!

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooook then

  • I didn't notice that flub, good call! :)

  • haha:D

  • @romanticmonster2007 sterling martain FTW

  • lol Wrangler still has the same slogan 11 years later

  • i miss the t -birds

  • @HILARYFAN06 I'm personally a Chevy fan, but I really agree. The Thunderbirds were freaking awesome.

  • earnhardt messed with his tires that is y gordon wrecked

  • wow, that was a sick crash, one of the best i've seen

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammnn... LOL

  • It's funny hearing Mark Martin's comment at 6:50. He always hated racing at Talladega. It's no surprise that of the races he chose to compete in throughout 2007, Talladega wasn't on his list.

  • those are you who are f1 fans, i have respect for, there aren't to many people that are fans of a international sport here in America compare to Nascar. Nascar is born and bread in the USA. With it's great history from the classic of american iron from detroit and their racers this sport is enriched with heritage. If your gonna diss the sport, post it elsewhere or don't comment at all! Unfortunately now we're seeing international racers running this sport, which you should appreciate.

  • I recorded this race also and have watched this crash over 100 times. I always look for that dumb Wrangler commercial

  • He had the Plus sponsor on his car for the entire 1998 season.

  • I think he was about to say "Martin" when Earnhardt raced by the 6 on pit lane.

  • He got distracted, is what I'm saying.

  • love dem wrangler jeans lol why did mike joy always refer to a crash as a grinding one?

  • i think theres more than 18 cars involved

  • There were 23 cars involved.

  • i thought so!
