Remember everyone, the backlot fire did not start at the Kong show building. The fire began a few blocks away and embers landed on top of the Kong roof. There was a fire system in place inside the Kong show building for fire code. However, the fire system was designed in case the fire began inside the Kong building. The hot embers which landed on the roof created the fire on the top of the building which destroyed the fire system and then the rest of the building burned to the ground.

I hate it how they replaced King Kong in Florida with The Mummy. I mean the Mummy is fun, I won't lie, but I'd love to have any chance to ride King Kong once more. But after looking at this, I was amazed to see how short and pathetic this ride was. I was like the ages of 7 through 11 when I rode this ride I suppose. I was young and it was scary as crap! I'll miss it, but I can see why they must had replaced. I thought there was more to i, but I guess because My memories are shot on it. lol. RIP

They still have the BTTF Ride at Universal Studios Japan. The BTTF Ride @ Universal Florida, was also replaced by the Simpsons' Ride. (Which is actually a pretty good ride.)
