I never like seeing horses in massive crowds where theres lots of noise. They are still prey animals and a loud noise or quick movement can send them running. Theres a scene on Final Destination 3. its a perfect example.

this breed of horse is really calm like the bassets of horses. I could not see but I suspect some shoddy harness came loose maybe smacked a horse and caused them to gallop.

my friend was at a show and her horse threw her off and some idiots started screaming and the horse spooked and galloped around my friend sttilll caught in the reins and the stirrup

I saw this on tv. They had a bit more of this clip....I am happy to say that the people were not hurt and them as well as the horses were fine. The parade even continued. I just didn't understand why in the world the people didn't move...they didn't have much time but they did have some time to get out of the path of the horses.

Anytime you have a team of horses like that at a parade you ALWAYS have reinforcements riding next to the wagon with lines attached to the team in case of an emergency, like this.

Its clear that I AM familar with teams. We have parades in my city and our trail riding club uses a team for our Christmas parade float. We have two riders in front of the team, two riders on each side of the team with lines attached to two people walking along side. Also, we use a pickup truck which rides in front of everyone. We take EVERY PRECAUTION because WE KNOW that to stop a runaway team you have to keep them from getting started. I'll give you the date of our parade, please come.
