  • That's not the suite for jazz orchestra n°2 but the suite for variety orchestra. The second jazz suite is in three movements; Scherzo, Lullaby and Serenade

  • It's a shame for the anti-Soviet U.S's Walt Disney to mimic Shostakovich. It would be a thousand time better if Disney used the whole piece of Shostakovich or cut the main melody and give the subtitle "Music : D. Shostakovich" and pay Shostakovich properly.

  • we played this years ago with my school orchestra ... huge fun, but hard for the clarinets! Listen out for them at 0.36 providing countermelody
