  • @Nicolette

She was merely commenting on how beginners play on Suzuki books

w/o emotion and just trying to learn the techniques.

Shame on thee not having deeper insight

  • @cathechung You are quite right.......

  • lol "Suzuki Institute"... My teacher commented on suzuki the other day >>

"Don't play like you are playing suzuki, be more expressive!"

  • @cathechung How ignorant. Shame so pathetic

  • That is my cousin playing the piano, that's such a nice job by both of them.

  • I just love this piece....it sounds so much better on the viola than when i play it on the on flute :) WELL DONE YOU :)

  • Yes Bella, I just listened to all your recordings at the Perlman camp, and the expressive phrasing is utterly beautiful. What huge growth as a musician.

  • true, i didn't have any expression while playing this piece. but over this past year i have learned so much about moving and expression through different music, thank you for the constructive criticism.

  • Played like someone pressed a button on a robot. No emotional content which unforgivable when one messes with Schubert. Lightyears away from the maturity required for this music. I see no merit in this.Feel free to call me names!

  • bella is someone who shows emotion during practice. she sees no need for excess movement during a preformance.

  • @lekmioas Saying no merit is excessive. There is clearly a lot of work that went into this. True that there is little phrasing, but the pitch and sound quality is really hard to get to that level, and that does deserve merit. Now, she has something to work when she wants. So it's a work in progress, what isn't?

  • its such a lovely, beautiful piece - miss your individual expression, can´t see anything - seems you don`t like it and have to play it. But sounds beautiful.

  • Bravissima, Bella! You make me cry, you play so beautifully. If I didn't have my Anna and weren't so old, I would have shouted, "Will you marry me???!!!" And what a wonderful pianist. Lotsa luv from Jan van Rooyen - your violamaker, friend, fan and servant.
