@diegosalesjp There are some actual works that are really good, but I understand your feeling, it's just not the same anymore. I guess it's something social, this whole prog thing was kind of a movement to go further in rock music and demostrate people how far they could get. I'd quote some artists like Moon Safari, Il Tempio Delle Clessidre and some others, but non of them are in the Yes-Genesis-Camel-Pink Floyd, etc. level...
Ouch. So very hard to sing that high if your range is not there. Why even do it? I'd be ashamed, especially in front of Steve. Incredible song, nonetheless. Deep space stuff. This penetrated the fabric of cosmic machinery for me. A fast train to another plain. Thanks YES, again.
Really he is great. An original guitar style, far a lot of miles from other rock styles or blues, jazz or progressive rock styles. He is similar to himself only, it's hard to find influences of other guitarists in his music. In the same way it is difficult to hear his influence in somebody else. He is really Unique. But the same can be said for the Yes music. Siberian K. isn't in Fragile, but it is in close to the edge.
@dokidok Excuse me dokidok, I understand. But it wasn't an attempt of correction. After reading the title, a young friend of mine (born in the late '80) signalled your video to me, to demonstrate that the song was in Fragile. I made the remark to avoid any further confusion. I hope you don't consider it as a lack of respect. In any case I beg your pardon. Really I appreciated your rare video, so much indeed. Thank you again from Italy
No problemo. Thanks for your support. Both of your comments and politeness are highly appreciated. Keep on visiting (The Watch or IQ ?) ! Cya Morganion :D
@lastdaysguitar I saw Howe with Yes in 1977, or about then. In the early 80's I saw Phil Keaggy at Knott's Berry Farm in Anaheim, CA, and then saw him again in the early 90's in Anaheim, CA, during "The Young Messiah" touring concert. His appearance in the 90's was a more stunning performance, and completely explosive.
I like the fact that you can see Steve playing through the whole song the drummer is too stiff but does know his hits, in the words of Jon "drums magic drums" ...I wish I could of ran up and did the hawaiian guitar slide part too!!!!!....lol
Very cool and classy on Mr. Howe's part. Looks like he's having fun, too. But wooo, that singer does NOT make it. Same for the drummer...steady rhythm, but playing a 1 and 3 boogaloo back beat? Yikes. More Aerosmith than Yes. Still, great to see Steve out there keeping it going!
Anyone know the details on the guitar he is playing here? It is an ES-175 but with three pickups and what looks to be a 22 fret neck. It is not his c. 1978 175 Special because that had Switchmaster wiring.
Good version :they have a great coach!!!

I don't think people realize just how spectacular the real members of Yes are until you see them play with other people.
It's like watching LeBron James play in a charity game at reduced speed.

Truly amazing :the keyboard player's resemblance to Pat Moraz!!!!:D

@carrietide
But Patrick Moraz is so unique!!!!
Great virtuose!!!!!!!!
In all the keyboards especially Acoustic Piano (listen to his solo albums:story of IMP etc...)

You mean "Jon" Anderson ? ah ah
No, seriously, I'm sure he knows he's not.
But he really did a great job (as the whole band) on this venue.

WHY NOT THE LAST ONE : Frequency (2009)
THEN Subterranea (1997), Dark Matter (2004), The Seventh House (2000), The Wake (1985)
Find out the richness of the melodies through my live footages (with a bad sound)
sorry but I'm not allowed by google to post youtube adresses here.
CHECK my channel : I filmed the 2009 and the 2010 gigs !

You missed the point.
Fragile is the name of the coverband behind Steve Howe ;)

Try buying a Gibson ES175 since Gibson put out the Steve Howe edition. Price went up $1800. Still an unbelievable example of American craftsmanship.

Steve Howe and Phil Keaggy are the 2 best guitarists from 60-70's.
Both still shine.

Spot on comment. People do not realise how hard it is to play any of the pieces let alone their respective intruments you hear on this album.
