  • i seek pole shift survival group

  • Little Richard - Paul McCartney

    Elvis - John Lennon

  • ITS FUNNY HOW MANY HAVE COPIED AND HE S OUTLIVED THEM ALL SAYS JAVON HUNT ON YOUTUBE

  • This is horrible....I rather hear the beatles anyday....and the reason am here if u ask is someone sent the vid

  • There is just no comparison. This version compared to the Beatles--this is the better version and by far. I never heard this version before and I am convinced.

  • Anche il più grande idolo di Paul McCartney gli ha reso omaggio con questa bellisima interpretazione di questa mccaertney song

  • Saw this on TV back in '75!!! Sounds great here.

  • Paul McCartney has always said that Little Richard taught him how to sing like that ( literally taught him back stage). but my favorite is still the video clip where Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, when asked who the greatest rock performer ever is, says, without hesitation, Little Richard. the King of Metal letting the world know that Richard is the king of all things rock. and he's right.

  • Woooooow great videos and fantastic song Little Richard Is great

  • there's only one true KING of R&R: CHUCK BERRY!!!!!!

  • A great, great voice.

  • who is the true king of rock & roll, little richard, elvis, chuck berry or jerry lee lewis? I think they inspired eachother.

  • @damuni1 Actually, the first "King of Rock n Roll" was Bill Haley.

  • @LittleDragon2000

    Thats right.

People tend to forget Bill Haley.

  • It wrote John and Paul when they at school

  • Richard is the true King and Queen of Rock and Roll, he can really perform and wail. He has influenced all the greats that came after... the Beatles, Elvis and Michael Jackson.

  • @tojew I don`t think that L.Richard is the King of rock `n roll!

Read at the Rock `n` roll Wikipedia: "Elvis is the undisputed king of rock `n` roll".I think THEY know what they write there better than you :-)))

  • @feeling528 how can you call elvis the undisputed king of rnr, when he can not write his own songs? i think they really don't know what they are writing!

  • @arteraytis This is how i see it. I am a massive fan of Elvis, he is the most versatile singer ever and has probably the best vocals range and vocals in general out of anyone back then or now, but Little Richard is the king of rock n roll. Elvis is just the King of everything he dominates everyone. The king gets song written for him, that's what happens when you have luxury's. Elvis popularized rnr giving a chance for the King of that genere LR to sing and do awesome songs like Ready Teddy.

  • @feeling528 Are you retarded anyone can edit Wikipedia i could go to Wikipedia right now and change it so it says "penis is the undisputed king of rock `n` roll" i hope you kill yourself in the near future

  • @Oblit3ratioN13 Well no actually, Wikipedia has a bibliography for such reasons. If you can not produce sufficient evidence for your claims than a moderator will revert your change back to its original text. Wikipedia remains because it is actually a very suitable source of information on a considerable amount of topics. The ability to make up anything you please on wikipedia is a complete myth my man. Having said that, Little Richard is the king of rock 'n' roll.

  • Great lip-sync. of a 1970 recording now re-issued on CD. This was from a 1975 TV Special. Richard also lip-synced LOVESICK BLUES on that show.

We can hear the influence on McCartney and Tom Jones, esp. on this performance.

  • He looks like a black Libarace. That being said, for what he's doing here, he's doing it pretty good. He was a big influence on the guys.

  • Now you know where Paul McCartney learned his "WOOOOOOOOO!"

  • @RevDelbert Wiki says Little Richard met the bebe Beatles in Hamburg and gave them pointers on how to do his songs. :) That's a generous guy right there.

  • Now you know where Paul McCartney his "WOOOOOOOOO!"

  • Richard was also the inspiration of Bon Scott, one of if not the most productive ront Man in Rock... Long Live King Richard... The Real King of Rock... With all due Respect!

  • @STPETE3624360 "Richard was also the inspiration of Bon Scott"

    Alex Harvey was

  • real king of rock n roll : )

  • @722erodz

    You said it!!!

  • The Beatles are nothing compared to Lil Rich, The king of rock n roll!

  • Demonic King Richard breaks the tape.

It's funny, in the original McCartney was playing King Richard, so this is as if LR's playing himself on Stars in their eyes.

"Tonight Matthew, sweetie, Ahm playin mysel. Ooooowh!"

  • While you folks bicker and broil on how much the The Beatles and other great bands and muscians stole from the early 'pioneers' of Rock and Roll - namely Afro-americans, The Beatles will always be one of the greatest if not the ultimate best band and the world will continue to enjoy listening to them for many reasons, amongst them, admitting whom they were influenced by and also for creating and influencing subsequent bands.

  • Well we all now know where the beatles got that WWOO WOO sound from.

  • @creaturebotman Amazed you were unaware that Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis influenced the Beatles, they were their idol`s, and the Beatles were the first to admit this.

  • @wookyhollow ...

The history of the beatles influance is well known. Of course the Beatles respect and admired the pioneers of rock n roll. I am not saying they copied or stole a style...they were influanced by it and turned it to a style all there own. The Beatles are and forever the greatist musical band the world will ever know. I am just pointing out one of the influance of little Richard. Woo Woo Woooo is definitly from LR.

  • @ From your comment I thought you were ignorant of the Beatles.

  • @wookyhollow ...

    You got me totally wrong.

    WERTY123 ... Hell no!

I love the Beatles. Who dosent.

    They are THE Best.

  • Listen to Prince's best stuff. You can hear who he listened to.

  • first time I seen him on tv I was mesmerized!!

  • I saw the great Little Richard down at Penn's Landing in Philly at a free outdoor concert and he was as amazing as he was bizarre. He did perform this song or at least his own version of it which consisted of him singing the same first verse about 21 times straight! It was so hilarious. He also had his own ushers pass out little booklets to the crowd which he claimed to have written which was filled with passages from the bible! Think he had a seperate tour bus for his cojones as well! Awesome!

  • OMG!....It's Prince...Purple rain!

  • yes!! I Saw her Standing There is an obvious Beatles/Little Richard song . Imagine hearing Richard sing on the smokin original version !!

  • He's a better soul singer than Otis Redding in my opinion.

  • @lispecial200 different styles

  • @lispecial200 ...

Little richard is the king of rock n roll but you have the clasification wrong.

Otis Redding was and forever will be the master / king of Soul music.

There is no comparising. Apples and Oranges

  • I'd kill to be able to sing like Little Richard in his prime!!

  • this is a trip...

it's like an allen tousaint groove with Little richard singing...

    wild video

  • wow amazing cover!

he's one of those who have hugely influenced The Beatles and it's awesome to know that he have covered one of their songs. I guess it was a true honor for Paul McCartney because one of his biggest influences, have covered one of The Beatles songs.

I truly started to love Little Richard's music :D

  • @JosephNScott I thought that Bill Haley and the saddlemen recorded Rocket 88 in 1952 but perhaps it never entered the charts, can anyone confirm?

  • In the all-time (so far) top-5 from western hemisphere under the category "Rock-(Artists)-Kings".

  • In the all-time (so far) top-5 from western hemisphere under the category "Rock-(Artists)-Kings".

  • Belongs into category "True Kings" (just about 5 or so).

  • Diana Ross is just awesome isn't she!!!!!

  • superman was a white guy wasn't he ? :)

  • lol

  • This gut is becoming my very favorite!!!!

  • SOOOOO much better than when McCartney sings it! Go get it Richard!!

  • Little Richard was a great influence on McCartney.

  • But only one can be the King Of Rock and Roll, and this video shows who . . . ;)

  • I agree with you compleatly

the "only one can be the King Of Rock and Roll" is evlis prestley.

  • "evlis prestley"? I do believe you mean, "Evil Presley".

  • Elvis is the King. He was crowned King by his peers. Little Richard was crowned the King by himself.

  • this man and chuck berry are the truly architect of rock n'roll

jimi hendrix was in his band, otis redding was trying to sing like him,the famous flam of james brown was in his band before JB,he gave the beatles a chance in states...he wroted himself some beautifull classics of rock n'roll but not the king elvis but still..elvis was a king anyway respect!;)

  • "this man and chuck berry are the truly architect of rock n'roll" Not really, people like Wynonie Harris, Wild Bill Moore, Jimmy Preston, Roy Brown, Tommy Brown, and Freddie Mitchell were, before Bill Haley was famous, which was before Chuck or Richard was famous.

  • Doesn't mean Little Richard wasn't incredible. He's a pioneer.

  • This is freaking awesome!!!!!

THANK YOU RICHARD, FOR YOUR AWESOME MUSIC!!!

  • Wow, he sounds a lot like Paul Mc Cartney!

  • You mean paul sounds like King Richard:-)

  • You Damn right MahoganyArchives !! Danny O'Donnell

  • @MahoganyArchives

    QUEEN Richard...

  • Was this the b side of "DEW DROP INN"?

  • you can see what influence the chuch had on him wooooo growing up in macon georgia southern up brining

  • This is great. LR looks like Prince (Purple Rain era) and it must have been the 70s when funk horn sections coated everythang!!!. And its a Beatles' song. Does music get better than this?

Thanks for sharing and making life worth living!

  • I heard LR say to Prince on a tv show.."Yeah Prince you took my color, but I wore purple long before you did, and before you made it rain and I looked better than you did when I wore it"! I'm not too sure he likes Prince too much, it was the same show that he spoke about how after his car accident that Michael Jackson was the first one to the hospital to visit him..take care, Danny O'Donnell

  • The KING!

  • Richard lip-syncing a 1970 recording. Appears to be the B-side pressing, not the original album long version.

Seems LR has been doing this song on stage since 1964.

It's possible that his opening act in the Fall of 1962 wrote the song for him.

Unfortunately, these days, the Architect often does a quirky, repetitive arrangement on stage, to the exasperation of the fans.

  • Stunning. I've never heard or seen him do this one before. thanks for posting.

  • Paul and john and me agree your the KING. Thanks Penniman.

  • Little richard is the example of the king off rock and roll little Richard, the man who startet it all. the man from Macon georgia.

  • legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME!!
