  • This is so amazing!!!

  • you can count on it!

  • what a beautiful tribute! i bet she's doing agility in heaven!

  • What a beautiful tribute to a great team!! So sorry to hear of this tragic loss. BUT I'm sure she had the time of her life!! May she rest in peace forever and always!!

  • Can't find God in the usual places:

    Churches, books or preachers' faces?

Keep on looking and don't give up,

You may just find him in the eyes of a pup.

    - And in the last video of Lisa and Diva.

  • Still remembering you Lisa~ you will always touch my heart. *

Thinking of your Mom and Diva too!

    Love Christi

hospice nurse who met you at the end of your journey HERE on Earth~

  • What a beautiful person she must have been and still is in your memories and hearts. I hope there are more people like her...

Thank you such much for sharing this. You have touched my heart....

  • Love just flowed on this film........Than you for sharing that special 'moment in time.'......xxx

  • i have a smile of joy at the same time....tissue please......God Bless

  • Tears are flowing like a river having just watched this very touching story. How very very sorrowful this must have been for her knowing this was her last run with her best friend, her heart must've been overflowing with tears.

Equally sad is that her little Diva must be sooooo lost and forlorn without her and wondering where her Mama went....I pray someone is giving Diva all the love she so desperately needs during her time of grief.

Holding Lisa's memory close to my heart.

  • Diva went to a friend and fellow agility enthusiast of Lis' and we see Diva in the agility ring still. =-}

  • A wonderful tribute to a wonderful partnership and God bless this very special lady. Thank you for sharing, I watched it through tears. Thank you to cvfa for sending to me xx

  • Awesome! God Bless you Lisa.

  • so it's been one year now since my friend, sena branson, died from a rare form of leukemia with one nights notice. mourning him today, i couldnt help but remember lisa and kisses and thought to revisit this video. i still can't watch it without crying. i miss you so much lis' and would give anything to see you in oklahoma next month. help jen shave kisses again and watch diva run. i miss you so much. at least you're in peace now. we'll never forget you.

  • You were so very blessed to have had such a wonderful and inspiring person in your life - I sit here with floods of tears just because I feel so very proud to have seen such a brave lady - here :) We without thought take everything for granted. Bless her and I hope, no I am sure she is in training with lots of little dogs there in spirit. How is little Diva by th way - she must miss her very much too.

  • Thank you for this amazing story, and thank you Lisa and Diva for your inspiration!

  • An amazing video and an amazing person. After seeing this I went looking for more information on Lis...wow, what an inspiration.

She touched a lot of people while she was on this earth. She did so much for educating dog owners, dog rescue, ethical breeding and just plain supporting those around her. I wish I had known her.

Her web site is still up, this video tribute continues to spread around the web and thus she continues her work from the otherside.

  • God bless Lis and her family. The video brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing this truly remarkable person with us.

  • What an absolutely breathtaking tribute to The Bond! Lisa and Little Diva, you are my heroes.

  • Thank you. It is hard to believe it was a year ago yesterday, that Lis' & Diva had that very special Snookers run together.

It was absolutely a gift from God. Lis' only lived a few more weeks, but I think she made the most of that time.

Diva continues to do agility and her little sister Kissy is a speed demon. I'm sure Lis' is giving a running commentary from her prime seat in the 'stands' of heaven.

    Miss ya, Lis'.

  • Just had my question answered about Diva - :) Hugs from all of us here on Jollity Farm and thank you for such an amazing tribute to an exceptional young lady ! I have shared this - world wide ! Know that those who are gone from this earth, remain here with us, just in a different way and when the hurt and pain turn ease, and the heart openes again - you will understand that they are never far from us ! :) I am sure Diva isn't just running for Lis - but continues to run with her :) !

  • I continue to hope, even believe, that the NEXT STEP is, like so many times when we were alive, BETTER than the last ...

Isn't that the way it works with Positive Things?

Fear .. Overcome ... Become Bigger And Better

Do we really think that "death" is going to be different?

One awful ending after all those wonderful ones?

I hope NOT. Pray NOT. Believe NOT

  • Lisa exemplified "dying with dignity" to the max.

  • I feel sad but inspired.. I know the feeling of someone who's been a part of your life.. my very first pet dog just died.. and I miss her so much and feel very sad but I know that they're looking down on us smiling and thanking for the love and support, sure gonna miss her and thank you Lis for this very inspirational tribute :]..

  • So beautiful but so sad. I hope that Diva is receiving all the love she deserves.

Bless you who made this wonderful video!

  • I was thinking the same thing. I was so worried about Diva thinking her Mom wasn't with her anymore. God be with her and Lisa's Family!

  • Dear Lisa and Diva... Thank you for your wonderful inspiration. Heaven will be enriched by your joyful magic.

    Bless us all.

  • A beautiful tribute to a beautiful team.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss, hope the best for you. Anyone that can love a dog the way you do is an amazing person, I wish you the best and may God bless all the dog and animal's lovers in the world.

  • Now THIS is what Pure Joy looks like.

  • Wow I feel so sorry for you and I know how you feel my mum died when I was ten and just a year after on boxing day I got this beautiful young lab called chelsea! My dream is to be able to do that with chels some day but chelsea is very clumsy and isnt very keen on wasting energy! Aww what a lovely video, your friend must be proud to have a friend like you doing that video for her!

  • Me too, tears were running down my cheeks as I watched this video. Like others have said, this video was beautiful and sad at the same time. What a tribute to them both.

  • great tribute!..but very sad

  • It's thebest of videos i've ever seen in Youtube..

  • What a stunningly beautiful tribute to your friend and her determination!BRAVO...I had to chuckle at one of the comments below about how Lis is probably in Heaven organizing agility classes...from seeing her perform in person at a show one time, and after watching this, her last run w/ her beloved Diva...I've no doubt whatsoever that that is exactly what she's up to...RIP Lis' your talents will be sorely missed!

  • this was beautiful and heartwarming!! Lis had great determination and will til the end..amazing..God Bless her!

  • are... made be cry. so sorry about your dog x

  • OMG! I can't stop crying! That was absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time! Bravo Lisa and Diva!

  • Lisa passed away on May 6, 2008 just four weeks after this beautiful run. Lisa was strong to the very end. Her friends joke that she the minute she went to heaven she started organizing agility! I am sure she has organized a club already and we will all join when we meet her again.

Big HUGS to you Lis'. I miss you terribly. Terry and the pack

  • Wow, that brought tears to my eyes. What a terribly sad story and what a wonderful friend you are to make such a beautiful tribute. How wonderful that she could accomplish the ADCH goal in her remaining time.

  • Every time I see this video...I cry..is such a beautifull and sad video...!

  • As a cancer survivor and the mom of 3 fur kids, I thank Lis' and Diva for the reminder that each day is a precious gift.

  • Very sad and touching. Thank you.

  • I can't stop crying. Not only that her journey was cut so short, but how her pups must miss her terribly. What an amazing woman she must have been to all who knew her. God bless you all.

  • Lis you will be so missed. I had not been on the lists or at shows in Dallas. I only looked for info because she was on my mind today. I think I remember her telling me that Diva did not like the site in McKinney so for her to put in such a great run at this site is a testament to their bond. She was always so nice to us offering a cold maltese a place in the warmth at the shows even though there was no room. All our prayers to the family and friends. Mary and Missy from Houston

  • I totally knew hw u felt as my dog pased away 3 days ago and after watching ur video it really reminds us o their memories they eft behind.

  • I never met Lisa, but I'm just watching this with tears flowing...what a beautiful tribute to one womans courage and dreams...Diva is an angel with four feet and wings. I'm so glad that Lisa was able to not only do this, but to do it with such glory, strength and grace...what a beautiful team. Rest in joy & peace...I believe we see our animal friends too some day..you've only run ahead for now Lisa..I'll look forward to meeting you someday too..you are a hero.

  • A very sad,but also enlightening video.Thank you.

  • Theu looked so happy together. Life can be so cruel. A wonderfull tribute to a wonderfull owner.

  • Oops that was "company" not "coming"

  • Wicket continues to do well in her country home. Running free and playing agility with Terry. Diva and Kissy just went to their new forever home this past week. They have been keeping Rona (Lisa's mom) coming during her stay. She left for New Zealand on July 2nd and the girls (Diva & Kissy) should be settling in with Angela. Angela if you visit these comments and see this perhaps you can give us an update.

  • This video was sent to me maybe a month ago and I cried, watched, watched some more and cried even more. I was hoping not to read what I did that she passed. So sorry for the loss.

  • No offence taken for sure oinkydoodle. Anyone who takes the time to post or comment on a video like this must love dogs. For the record, I did not know Liz, but I still find her spirit amazing.

  • She looks healthy to me!

  • She did indeed look healthy that day. It was truly a miracle. Lis' by her own admission hadn't run like that in over a year. Hard to believe she left this earth only a few weeks later.

  • It is very touching!

  • Beautiful!!! I found this video through a Myspace Profile which had linked it in a Blog. I watched it over and over and cried and cried. I don't have to have known Lis to understand. I just have to look at my darling boy. Truly inspiring. Thank you.

  • When I clicked to watch this video I expected a tribute to a well loved dog -not to a well loved breeder/trainer. Far to young to be taken from all who knew & loved her! You are a great & wonderful friend... she definitely lived a life full of intimate moments & deep friendships! A wonderful gift - to show Diva in the end! A favourite breed! But life is to short to do all the wonderful things we dream of, yet long enough to do a few! Blessings Enticia of d n' e!

  • wow i'm just so speechless i'm always the last to know and so there were so many things i never got to say to you you were the sweetest person, lis and you were so much fun to hang out with and let jen n i play with kissy, yes even the silly clothes congrats with diva you always knew how to go out with a bang goodbye...for now i'll see you someday
  • Dogs really are mans best friend. This has touched my heart as my little girl is my best friend also. What a great way to show their love and committment to each other.

  • Thank you for posting such a moving and inspiring video of your dear friend. May Lis' memory live on in this video and the hearts of all that knew her. Thank you, too, for all the updates, I have visited here several times and have now made a donation to Take the Lead.

  • The love that Lisa and Diva shared sure shows.Their bond was beautiful! This is a wonderful tribute to her. Thank You for sharing. Our Deepest Sympathy!

  • Thanks for sharing this beautiful video. I hope that I can inspire people the way that Lis did with my work with animals. I am sure she is up in Heaven surrounded with lots of love at The Rainbow Bridge.

  • Wonderful and inspiring to read the comments. I can't quite figure out oinkydoodle-please try to get over yourself, and try to appreciate a truly inspirational woman.

  • Thank you. I find the comments inspiring and consoling. As for oinkydoodle, I think they are just commenting about the video production itself --- YouTube invites that kind of feedback, so I accept it for what it is. This was made for the close friends that weren't able to make it to the trial that day. Showing it both in slow motion and real speed allowed them to really see the run and the speed of the run. After posting the video, it took on a life and direction all of it's own.

  • It has become a source of inspiration and hope for many people who never had the chance to meet Lis'. She knew of the impact she had made before she left this "wonderful earth". I think the thoughts, prayers and positive words lifted her spirits.

  • Sometimes life is in slow-motion. I am sure Lis' really wanted her life in ultra-slow motion at the end to be here longer with her precious dogs. Slow motion gives me more time to enjoy her happiness.

  • Very true! Nice perspective, I hadn't thought of it that way. Thank you. :) I can see how the slow motion is beautiful for those who got to know this lady. But for those that didn't, it is easier to learn about this person they read ALL about in an email forward when they can experience the actual energy/speed as if they had been there. Seeing it in regular speed would have been akin to getting to meet her in person since you can learn a lot about someone just watching them. No offense intended.

  • These two show such great spirit and, as we are all on the road to the next life sooner or later, I loved being reminded that life is better lived with wonderful, loving dogs!

  • Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Lis Kristof, and a thank you for this video. Is there a special charity or rescue group where donations could be made in the memory of this special lady? It would be a fitting tribute.

  • In memory of Lis' Kristof

For those who have asked about charitable donations in her memory, Lis' was very concerned with canine health and believed in the AKC Canine Health Foundation. She was also a supporter of and recipient from Take the Lead. Take the Lead provides direct services, support and care for people in the sport of purebred dogs who suffer the devastation of life-threatening and terminal illnesses. The website can be found by searching AKC Take the Lead.

  • I will never forget almost a year ago getting a phone call from Lis giving me support over the rescue dog situation. She was a wonderful caring person who was their for the animals and friends. I can just imagine her now caring for all those that crossed the rainbow bridge waiting on their loved ones arrival. I KNOW they are in the best hands EVER with Lis there!!! I hope to have my little hairless girl running agility next year and I know I will often think about Lis and Diva!!

  • Rest in peace, Lis. Your teamwork was an inspiration to me. Dogspeed.

  • Lis' told us to "Run Fast, Run Happy." But most of all she showed us how it is to be done. She may not have had as long as some, but she was there every minute and how many can say that? Rest in peace . . .

Thank you to those who did this video and supported her. I never knew her, but take her example now as an inspiration and a reminder; thanks to your thoughtful work creating this video.

  • God Bless you Lis. I hope you are now at peace and am sure there was a huge welcoming commitee of dogs waiting to welcome you. You ran fast, now run free!

  • Love love love this one~The best is yet to come for LIZ...Enjoy it!

  • You were welcomed with open arms, Lis. I know there are a lot of dogs where you are, and they can hardly wait their turn to run agility with you. You have been an inspiration to so many, God bless you.

  • very inspiring! Awesome enjoy Heaven!

  • God bless you Lisa you will be forever in my heart and you have touched me as a dog owner and you will be in my prayers and I hope you hear me, God Bless and be in peace with God

  • that was a very touching video x

  • I heard that Lis passed away yesterday.. She certainly inspired alot of people with her courage.

  • My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I'm glad she is now at peace, and can forever run fast and free. God bless.

  • May the God and Goddess bless your journey across the veil, and when the time comes, may your beloved and loving canine companions join you in the Summerlands to run again with the wind. Thank you for blessing us with your final days among us. What a gift you have given.

  • My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sleep peacefully in the palm of Gods hand. God Bless you.

  • i hope and pray that lis has a quick, peaceful, and calm passing- she'll see so many agility champions running and one day diva and her other crested will join her again- thank you lis for inspiring so many and touching the hearts of everyone who has watched you run <3

  • You have had a wonderful journey here on Earth thus far, Lis. You have touched and inspired more people than you'll ever know. And remember, Lis, the best is yet to come!

    Go in Peace

  • UPDATE:

Lis' is having more bad days than good now & grows weaker every day, but everything is being done to make her as comfortable as possible. She's home & her 2 Chinese Cresteds are keeping vigil by her side. Diva, especially, is very protective of her & only leaves her for potty breaks & meals. Lis's mom, dogs & friends are all caring for her.

Lis' is at peace and is ready to be done with this part of her journey. Please pray for a quick & peaceful release.

    Thank you!

    Sherree

  • reading all words: love, tears, inspiring, wish, peace.

I have wrapped bodies in shrouds after death.

Said a silent wish for the soul. Felt a presence after it left the body, it went up.

there's something after this, I don't know what, only that you take whatever you give here. You're going with a treasure!

  • Our Creator Bless and Protect both of U, Lisa and Diva (and Kissy and all that is precious to U.) Sharing this journey with us is our blessing and inspires us to truly value what matters day to day on this planet-LOVE.

Blessed Be Always, Lisa and Diva! Both of U are loved by us all whom u have touched here!

  • Lis' wants everyone to know that Diva and Kissy(both Chinese Cresteds) will be going together to a loving home. After a time of transition, they will be back on the local agility scene.

Wicket(rescue border collie) continues to love living in the country and has developed a strong loving bond with Terry & Gary. Kumba(rescue Rottie) will be waiting for Lis' at the rainbow bridge.

She doesn't want any of you to worry about them.

Thank you for your continued good thoughts and prayers.

  • God bless you, Lisa. My prayers are with you.

  • Update: April 27, 2008

With the help of a friend, Lis' was able to make it out to watch(from the car) a USDAA trial for a few hours on Saturday. She continues to live life to the fullest possible, each day, one at a time. • God's speed... nothing else seems appropriate.

  • Outstanding! Just when I was begining to believe that all people posses a weak and whining attitude, someone comes along to disprove the assumption by showing that a winning spirit that cannot be stopped. She has won the game of life!

  • .....God speed and my friendship and support go out to you though we do not know each other!! YOU AND YOUR PUPPY ARE BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Needless to say I am in tears. What a beautiful spirit you have Lisa. I love my pets(2 cats) so much and it is ovious you and your lovely and quite beautiful dog share an amazing bond. Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment with us!! I am truly going to pray for you. A longer stay or a speedy journey to a place where you can wait to run with your lovely friend again through endless fields and obstacles to delight and challenge you both.

  • No one will ever convince me that little Diva didn't sense this was a very special "moment in time". Lisa, you are obviously an amazingly strong person filled with love and joy. I pray that your doctors are wrong and you will have more time with Diva...if that's not to be, your spirit will continue to light Diva's way and the agility pups at The Bridge will be there to greet you. Peace...

  • This video hit me like a ton of bricks! I cried through the entire thing! I am dealing with this myself I have Cancer and I have a Yorkie, and I am so scared and worried that I am not going to get to stay with him, for the rest of his life! That is what hurts me most, to maybe not be there with him when he passes away! He needs me with him, and I need to be with him!! I love him so much, if you could marry your dog, I definitely would!! Lis' & Diva, I hope you are both doing well! God Bless!!!!

  • This is one of most moving videos I've ever seen. God Bless Lisa and the obvious love she and her precious dog have shared.

  • Very touching and i am concerned about what will happen to her dog.

  • Thank you for giving the world a fulfilled promice. You know God named His best friend after looking in a reflection in a glassy lake, G O D..... D O G!! And He blessed each human heart to have His best friend's love! I want to run with my dogs on my final days also!!!!

  • Lis' and Diva, your ADCH run and its symbolism have touched my heart. I could not hold back the tears while watching you run so beautifully, knowing this would be the last run. This is what agility is all about -- that bond between dog and human -- and your run expresses it perfectly. Your life is a blessing to so many of us. Thank you.

  • Dear Lisa

I am so sorry to hear off your illness, your lovely little dog is a credit to you.

The video made me cry purely in admiration of your strength, courage and the devotion you have to your life and dog.I will never forget your bravery.I hope that you go on to defy all the doctors and feel no pain.Mel xxxxxx

  • I was just about to go out. Now I'm a wrecked and tear drenched. I don't do religion but I promise I'll pray tonight. Bless you Honey.

  • Thank you, Liz and Diva, for such a wonderful example of love and devotion. You are truly an inspiration and just an awesome woman who shares her talents and great love of animals with us all.

Of course we all know Doxies rule, but that naked, spotted dog sure can RUN!! What a girl!

Again, thank you and God Bless.

How I have enjoyed my part in your journey here the last 8 years! I have watched you struggle all those years and yet, face the physical hardships with grace and dignity ... I could only believe the Super Q would happen and you would find the strength to realize your ultimate goal with Diva. God speed Lis' -- I will miss you!
