  • Tim Fagaway used to play for Golden State?? You can't get any gayer than that, lol...

  • Crazy swagger from #10. Thank u Tim for not being PC and speaking your mind. Any apology that came after was just a formality to get everyone off his back.

  • i want to know why would a man want a dick in his ass, thats going against the grain girls dont even like dick in the ass, being gay is a rebelious counter culture

  • Stick by what you said brother... he is only saying that cause his lawyer said that... fuck dem faggots... not literally

  • Though he meant what he said he also did get a lesson. After that lesson he might have regretted the outburst earlier, grown enough to apologizes and no one can know his true opinion (did it change or not) after this lesson but "only" take his actions and words for granted. Regretting and apologizing is enough, then we can only hope that he learned the lesson. IMO he is/should be forgiven (from when the deep apology, i can only trust is heartfelt, came)

  • Tim hardaway is awesome, and i agree with him

  • What a fucking full on maggot . i lov most black people and this cunt should be put down like a dog . he is an Embarrassment to the black american people ,shoot the dog .

  • shut the fuck up jim rome

  • What! playing basketball with a homosexual touching you up. No offence, I would even get pissed off with straight people doing it. Tim Hardaway should have been smart and kept his dislike secret. We all know where this is heading Tim.

  • what about freedom of speech....or is it freedom of speech if it doesnt hurt somebodys feelings...no i dont think thats what it say in the constitution....this guy is a hall of fame point guard with an opinion

  • Astrap820, of course Hardaway deserves, and has, the freedom to speak his...mind (such as it is). No one is saying he's not allowed to say ignorant, stupid things. But on the other hand, when he says something offensive, educated people are allowed to use their own freedom of speech, and respond.

  • @GodCreatesGays2 , i understand that educatied people should speak their mind., but that is no reason for this guy to miss the hall of fame because of an opinion he has. that is what my issue is, he is now going to miss the hall of fame and everything he did on the court for 13 yrs is negated because of an opinion. So they need to let his efforts on the court be appreciated and then deal with his public statements separately

  • Astrap820, I agree: he should not be kept from the hall of fame for stating an opinion, no matter how vile and anti-social it is. His work on the court should be evaluated on its own merits, separate from anyone's disgust over his personal bigotry.

  • preach homie lol.....FUCK TIM HARDAWAY BITCH ASS HE JUS MADE CUZ WE TAKN ALL DA WOMEN LMFAO

  • Jim Rome is a retarded fuckhead.

  • I hate faggots too! everyone should hate fags

  • ProLife989, just because you have chosen a lifestyle of hatred does not mean everyone else needs to chose similar ignorance. Your lifestyle is deeply deviant, and offensive to intelligent, moral people.

  • Homophobia is the way hidden homosexuals get in touch with the subject. When you are a real straight you are undifferent to homosexuality cause it does not concern you. Homophobes (homosexuals who are in gigantic fear of what they feel secretly) take the road of hate or negative comments to keep in touch with homosexuality. Notice how homophobes have so much to say about homosexuality. They can spend hours talking about it...very suspicious..

  • jim rome is a fagot

  • what ever happened to freedom of speech he can say whatever he wants... this pisses me off... who cares if it hurts that fagot john amaechi's feelings...this is ridiculous

  • @blubberman911:

It may in fact hurt the feeling of all LGBTQ people ... which mean many people do care !

  • he doesn't have to apologize... that's bs... most of the world hates fagots

  • Blubberman911, most of the world who live with their heads wedged up their own butts, you mean. Your kind are the only ones who are weak-minded enough to hate.

  • He is an idot how can you say I hate gey people when you're of a minority that other and most people HATE and treat less then human . Don't get me wrong I am of color but be sure if somone siad to him I hate NIGGERS he would be up in arms !! By the way Tim that's what all the withe gays are calling you and some of the non gays too!

  • Most of these homophobic guys are actually struggling with their sexuality. They join in with their friends sluring out hatred for someone who they think is gay/weak but still manage to slip their number in the guys pocket for a hook up later on the down low. Dont be fooled by the Butch Masculine Rapper Ghetto act. To dominate another male is the ultimate power trip for a male. 90% of gay men are very Masculine and Butch and disassociate themselves as much as possible with the drag queen

  • @ ukblk121,

You don't have a clue. Another weak argument that people that don't agree with the gay lifestyle are actually gay themselves. Right...I guess that is what I'd say if I had limited mental capacity and no clue.

You need to live with the fact that straight people in general JUST DON'T CARE about gays, period.

The only way it even gets on the radar is when the gay mafia pushes it there. Lighten up on the straight bashing.

  • The straight bashing comment did make me laugh OMG you have a sense of humour your a human being not some hating, ignorant, homophobic Neandothol. Well done

  • @ ukblk121,

Look...I understand that it is WAY cooler to be gay than straight. You guys totally have the victimhood thing down to a science.

You still don't get it do you? Most straight people JUST DON'T CARE about gays. You aren't the center of the universe and as long as you leave most straight people alone you are more than welcome to live your life.

I don't hate you, I'm not ignorant because I don't agree with you and I'm not a homophobic Neanderthal. YOU JUST DON'T MATTER. OK?

  • @burnbrother3 Straight people tend to flatter themselves thinking that a gay man would even be interested in them. Are you interested in every girl? no your not but if you chat to one in a bar she would 99% of the time assume you wanna fuck her. Just the same with straight men they think every gay man would be interested in them which is so insulting. Gay men are very fussy not just anyone will do they want to look the best and always get the best beleive that and settle for nothing less.

  • @ukblk121,

The straight guys I know HOPE that gays aren't interested in them, period. If a gay guy goes after any straight guy that I know it's a joke & we give our buddy shit about it. The thought of it makes most straight guys ill. It isn't hate, it's disgust and loathing.

Sounds like you don't know many straight guys. It has nothing to do with gays being interested in straights. It has everything to do with the dishonesty of gays

My point was and continues to be that

  • @burnbrother3.

"dishonesty" ? What do you mean is dishonest ?

  • @Nostalgikern,

What I mean is gay men using men's sports locker rooms that claim it isn't sexual to them are being disingenuous. The fact they can in most cases control whatever sexual urges may strike is irrelevant. They are still violating the privacy of the straight men.

If this is OK then straight men should be able to shower in women's locker rooms. If we assume these guys can also control their urges it still doesn't make it OK, as it infringes on the women's rights.

    Make sense?

  • @burnbrother3:

OK, but in that case it's a problem for all men, not just the straight men, if a gay man uses the same locker room, isn't it ?

Because I hope you don't believe that straight men are THAT special to us ?

  • @Nostalgikern,

It is interesting to me that gays are among the first to rant about their rights being violated but don't see a problem with this scenario.

Frankly the voyeuristic and invasion of privacy aspects of this are clear to most straight people. This is also one of the reasons that most gays understand that gay athletes "coming out" in mainstream men's sports would be a problem.

I'm all for gays having their rights, but not if mine are violated in the process.

  • burnbrother3:

    I agreed, I said OK, didn't I ?

And yes, gay athletes "coming out"; that's where the problems arise. But with these gay athletes NOT "coming out", there's still the same persons in the same locker rooms, isn't there ?

So the problem's not about gays being in the same locker room or not; the question is about them being open or not !

  • @burnbrother3:

And also remember that the situation with dressing rooms separated by biological sex and therefore common for all of the same biological sex is not anything specific for men or for sports, for professionals or what's mainstream; it's the same for many working places and for most schools, gyms & swimming baths, etc.

  • @Nostalgikern,

There are obviously gay, non-out people in locker rooms today. Given that the gay community in general is pushing for more openness relative to this issue it will come to a head eventually.

At the end of the day I imagine that if gays continue to push for more openness relative to the their community that Society will have to decide exactly how much the wants of less than 10% of the population should be allowed to trump the privacy rights of the remaining 90% on this issue.

  • burnbrother3 (part 1 of 2):

Yes, of course there are gay, non-out people in locker rooms today. And they have the full right to be there too.

The decisions to be open or not is up to every single person. Everybody has the full right to live ones own life the way one wish; either it means keeping love, emotions and sexual orientation secret or it means to be open about it.

  • @ burnbrother3 (part 2 of 2):

Another persons choice about being open or not doesn't affect any of your rights. A person who decides to be open and "comes out", is still the same person as before.

bte: "the wants of less than 10%"

This discussion is not about what we LGBTQ people want. It's about your questioning of our right to exist and to be open.

  • @Nostalgikern

Gays have the right to be in the locker room only if they are closeted. They do not have the right to publicly proclaim their homosexuality and then expect straight guys to put up with them in a locker room setting. If you advocate this position it just proves my original point, that you feel your rights as an out gay person in a men's locker room are superior to mine.

Why does an out gay man have the right to shower with a straight man against the straight man's wishes?

  • burnbrother3:

But why do you wish to shower only with closeted gays and not with open ones ?

What's the difference ? A gay who "comes out" is probably just as much - or rather just as little - interested of you as he was before ?

btw: Of course everyone - homo, bi- or heterosexual - has the full right to tell others about ones life, relations, love, emotions and sexual orientation.

Freedom of speech, you know !

  • @Nostalgikern,

Nice Try. I didn't said I wished to shower with Closeted Gays. I acknowledged that by definition I may have due to my lack of awareness of their orientation.

If I become aware that a gay is interested in me we have a crystal clear conversation after which he leaves me alone. An openly out gay shower environment obviously would support a policy that violates my right to privacy.

Are you saying I don't have a right to privacy in this situation? Just let me know.

  • @ burnbrother3:

    1. "I acknowledged that (...) I may have ..."

Ok, it's understood. That's the way it probably is.

    2. "... we have a cryslat clear coversation .. "

Yes, that's totally understood and agreed upon.

    3. "... wouild support a policy that violates mayright to privacy".

This is where we don't agree or understand each other. What policy are you talking about ?

    4. Of course you have a right to privacy in this situation. Everyone has.

  • *crystal

  • @Nostalgikern

I think gay guys should be able to fall in love with whoever will accept them. As a straight guy I don't care as long as I'm left alone and I don't lose my rights in the process.

One of my rights is not to have to wander around naked in front of gay men in a locker room. If they are closeted there is nothing I can do about it. In the event society ever deems it appropriate to allow openly gay athletes equal locker room access with straight guys there will be a serious issue.

  • @ burnbrother3 (1 of 2):

    1. That's wise. Thanks !

    2. It would surprise me if society deemed anything at all; locker rooms are divided by biological sex and I think they will remain so.

  • @ burnbrother3 (2 of 2):

If your right not to walk around naked in front of gay men is that important, then I have a piece of advice for you:

Don't walk around naked in front of any other men !

That would solve both your problems with us open gays (who already are in the locke rooms btw) - and the problem you had no solution for; the closeted gays.

This is the way I've solved similar problem myself, at the few occasions I've visited a mixed sauna with persons of both sexes.

  • @Nostalgikern

Thanks for confirming my original position and expecting me to change to favor your sexual disfunction. Next time don't waste my time.

I suggest that if you're looking for validation of your lifestyle you stick to the tried and true sources...your mother, your shirt-flipping brothers, the gay olympics and your regular gay community groups.

    I'm done with you.

  • I am gay and i`ve talked to alot of homophobes in the past. They talked to me because they did`nt even notice i`m gay! What i`m trying to say is that homophobes are that way, because most of them just don`t know any better. They think we all dress up in drag and chase str8 men. *lol*

  • warminator:

Yes, you're right, some homophobes are that way. When they say that gays "shouldn't be in the world", what they really mean is "I didn't think they should be in the world" (or in my neighbourhood, or in my team). And when the world doesn't look like they thought it would (surprise !), they get irritated by that they were wrong.

After all, good thing of him to make an apology though ...

  • @warminator exactly they believe the steriotype. He is now saying sorry but we all know he meant what he said

  • @warminator same here, and some have radically changed after knowing me telling they just couldn't stand the flirtatious behavior of the gay people thinking all gay people are "flamboyant", in time even the friend who had the hardest time with the flamboyant behavior learned to take a flirt as a compliment. Only took around 8 years =P (i moved when i was 20 (i was out) to a bigger city, got to know a local group of friends and they me, i have moved again since but we still keep in contact =)

  • @warminator

    shut up you faggot ass

  • @jhazlem

    You talkin to me???

  • @warminator Yeah but as a HUMAN BEING, We are capable of knowing what words to choose that comes out of our mouths. He is just a bad person Period. He has the right to feel uncomfortable around the guy but to Blantly come right out nasty say he Hates Gay people. not one gay person HE HATES THEM ALL. and the only reason why he is apologizing because he knew his career was getting ready to go down the Filthest Toilet.

  • Fucking loser. He missed his class on American history regarding black slavery. Asshole. Totally agree! He meant what he said. He's apologizing to save his career.

  • Right on Jim! The NBA does care!

  • why should tim say sorry its his belief

  • He better fuckin apologize! Ya damn skippy!

HATING is not a form of free speech, it is discrimination & there is no justifying such ignorance.

  • I don't support him but i think he is a fag for apologizing for how he feels. That's BS... I don't hate gay cuz I could care less...but being black and being gay is not the same ....Why do people always draw a comparison.

  • Hello Sherlock!

Being black and being gay is not the same thing, very good observation, but the kind of discrimantion both groups are exposed to is similar. Therefore, if a black person says that he/she hates gay people he/she is a bigot, because he/she wouldn't want anyone to say "I hate black people"

  • first of all i dont support tim hardaway saying stuff like that because everyone has rights

and the commentator is getting fired up like he is gay also

  • You don't have to be gay to be for gay rights. Comments like that are ignorant. I know plenty of straight guys who are avid about gay rights, just because they're good people. I think they have even less a chance of actually being gay because they're comfortable enough with themselves to be outspoken in their support. The homophobes are always the ones getting their wangs sucked in anonymous public bathrooms.

  • u know what gets me....if someone is against homosexuality they are censored, not allowed to express their opinion, and if they do, are made to give some phony apology they really dont want to give. But if you are speaking for homosexuality and agreeing with it you can express your opinion all day long.....political correctness strikes again

  • Whether he meant what he said or not (Tim), Jim Rome needs to be commended for his position on this subject.

It seems like I myself have been intolerant towards athletes and sports fans. But Jim is one of the good ones.

  • Tim set the NBA 50 years back of embracing diversity.

  • @scotplaya

shut the fuck up you faggot ass mother fucker, or should i say faggot ass father fucker

  • everyone needs to stop being so self righteous and arrogant concerning Tim Hardaway ..As a black man I am so sick of over judgemental and stupidass white men like this commentator saying bigoted comments on what the hell he thinks as if he is God....Those without sin throw the first stone ...prejudiced pig. Who are you too judge anybody.

  • OK- let's see.... you asked, "Who are you to judge anybody.".....directly after referring to someone as "over judgemental and stupidass white men like this commentator"....and "prejudiced pig." Stop throwing yourself some racial pity party because you obviously make racial slurs yourself YOU WORTHLESS RACIST!

  • I am a black girl and I dont respect Tim Hardaway for what he said he is a fucking dumb ass fuck. And the white dude is right he meant what the fuck he said "I hate gay people" is truely a strong phrase so he should just crawl under a rock

  • im right there with u... u go girl... (turn head and double snap)... :)

  • @Cleapatra25 Exactly he meant what he said. He knew that he was gonna get some heat for it and could possibly effect his career as a whole, so he can take his fake half ass apology and shub it. You know he stupid because WHO SAY THINGS LIKE THAT ON THE RADIO! at least have some discretion and say it in the private of your own home. If you must say it.

  • Check out the clip - "Middle Sexes experiment on homophobia" it shows just who Tim Hardaway (The homophobe) really is!

  • Why can't dumb, violent blacks leave the USA?

  • hahah be tolerant you gays if you want people be tolarant to you

  • since when does a motherfucking slave nigger have any right to be homophobic...your lucky your even in this country u stupid bitch!

  • since when does a bigot of one kind in a place to put down bigotry of another.

  • Gay people hate christians, ex-gays, anyone who doesn't support their agenda... So why's Tim not allowed to hate them as well? Do I smell here society's double standards?

  • To Mcman07: I'm gay and I don't HATE Christians or ex-gays. It seems that you are just revealing your own prejudice.

  • I surprised Jim Rome is taking the pro-gay side. Guess I like Jim now, well I always thought he was hot!

  • If you don't like it, don't insult it - homophobic whore of swine!

  • fucking hell. everyone is entitled to their opinions. not everyone has to love homosexuality you know. if that's against some people's religions then who the fuck are you to say they're the ones who have to change their views. and what is everyone whingeing about? they got their rights let it go!!!

  • u stupid fucking cunt! then my opinion is get rid of all the black nigger slaves.since when does a motherfucking slave nigger have any right to be homophobic...your lucky your even in this country u stupid bitch!..is my opinion al right then?

  • Tim is gay...the biggest homophobes are just closeted self-hating gays. He's a loser..."shouldn't be in the world or in the United States." What a dumbass!
