Well...I always said that it wasn't the dogs,but the owners who were to blame. Being from NM I see alot of the drug dealer's,and gangs turning these dogs mean. Whenever you hear about another dog or child mauling it's a Pitt. No clue though how much Pitt it is. All I can attest to with 100% reliability is the nature of he Doberman. I've had so many in my lifetime,and raised them with both babies and cats.

I have had 9 Dobies in my life throughout the yrs. They are GREAT with small children and cats .The breed has such a bad reputation,but when you hear about maulings it's almost ALWAYS a Pitt. The ONLY problem with a Doberman is that they don't live long enough anymore. :(

If my dogs come near me or try to get in my face while I'm smoking, I simply send them to the other side of the porch to play until I'm done. NO, I can't leave them inside, they both have issues and seperation anxiety that I'm working on them with.
