do they sell the black sponge rubber spiders neer you? they are slow sinking and with white rubber legs. they are killer on bluegill and an occasional bass, cant pass them up. if not, they sell them over here. let me know

@Killahofosho Sounds good my friend... consider it done! The rivers have been running really high all year... they're just now going down. Should be able to pick up a few decent trout with the fly rod by now though. Congrats on the steelhead by the way... that's awesome! Steelhead put up such an intense fight don't they?

@intenseangler i can think of very few things that compare to seeing a monster trout fly through the air with my leader hanging from it's mouth! even the little steelhead put up one heck of a fight!

Thats a sweet fishin hole there! Beautiful wildflowers with great color contrast. I have a little spot down by the Rio Grande where I go to catch catfish. I usually have to drive for several hours out of town to fish for anything else like those bluegills or any other panfish type of a catch but I still enjoy the ol catfishing. Great video!

I've heard there's some pretty nice size fish in there. Of course I've always wanted to visit that part of the country anyway... I've always been mesmerized by the beauty of the place! Some day...

It looks so LOVELY and peaceful there. I'd love to canoe it, and take my camera to film all the life along the shoreline, flowers, dragonflies, fish, and more. :) Your video is incredibly clear. Also your cast is soooo smooth, very graceful. It looks like you use your whole body to do it, not just your arm because you do it one smooth motion. I think the best I've ever seen. Great video!! :)

It was a little difficult to focus on the fishing at times with all of the dragonflies hovering around, and just the amount of stimulus for the senses... it was a gorgeous day to be out with Nature. Ahh Bluegills. Fun fishing. Bluegills were my introduction to fly fishing way back in the late 60’s on a low budget rod and reel. I still have that outfit. Leme go see what it is…. It’s an 8-1/2 ft, #4150 (4 wght?) Foremost by True Temper. Interesting. That brings up two JC Penny items for me in two days :-) Yesterday I mentioned the hunting bow I purchased from JC Penny back in 1970.
