@mikeaprice09 yeah i think scholes is still the best too! not gerrard though, he isnt in the same league! scholes is so under rated, everyone talks about xavi now (and rightly so cos he is brilliant) but scholes in his prime was like 5 times better and is stil just as good! im afraid to say that united might start to go downhill when he and giggsy hang their boots up :(

We still have amazing players but they are important with their experience and scholes is a first team player!! Giggs is being kept out because nani has started playing great but he is as good as ever too. against newcastle he came on for 25 minutes and scored a great volley which alot of people wouldnt have scored !! :D

If it was 1 here, 1 there it wouldnt be so bad but i would imagine scholes, giggs and gary neville will retire on the same season, maybe even van der sar too!! Yea haha,, the 06-07 year was great cos we played amazing football, then the 07-08 year we won the league and champo so i love that one and then 08-09 we again played awsome footy and won the league.. but 09/10 we didnt actually play as nice football as we did before and it wasn't as good but will always be good because it was 'rooneys year' :)

I dont understand why we didnt spend that 80m we got for ronaldo.. yes we were in debt alot but we are in the same situation anyway.. we could have got almost any player in the world for 80m like villa for maybe 40m or something then a world class winger for the other 40m,, maybe even sneijder for 40m,, we have enough wingers as it is!

But now he is a main striker and scores more that means none of his goals are from outside the box anymore! I remember when united played him more on the wing and he scored awsome goals every season like the volley vs newcastle, the chip vs portsmouth, 2 goals vs i think middlesbrough and loads more!!
@mikeaprice09 its better now that he scores a lot of proper striker goals rather than just a few brilliant ones though isnt it! he will be back definately, i cant wait, we will be amazing cos i think berbatov will be a lot better this season too so im expecting goals galore!
@RazzaBeeDaSilva yea!! Berbatov has had a better start than the last 2 seasons so i hope he can play alot better! Also i think hernandez can get his fair share of goals but it will take time for him to settle in, same for owen in terms of getting goals, he should get a fair few if he plays more! He still has that old owen in him so i hope he can play well :)
@mikeaprice09 we will definately get more goals this year, like i said it was injury that let us down last season, owen was out for a while, he always scores when hes fit but he always gets injured lol and agree about berbatov and hernandez, i think the midfielders will score a few more this season too
@RazzaBeeDaSilva i agree :) i remember in 06/07 carrick was UNBELIEVABLE,, but last season he was poor for us!! Scholes and fletcher together is one of the best cm combination in the world i think but like our 1st comments said about scholes retiring, i am definiatly not looking forward to that!! But no point looking at that and thinking about it until it happens, we will just have to keep going and focus on this season :)

Same goes for rooney last season, vs ac milan he scored 4 in 2 games, then against bayern he scored in the 1st minute,, then against chelsea he scored in the community shield, then in the game vs liverpool he scored! Then twice in 2 games against arsenal! Big games :) i just hope he can get back to where he was lasts season :D

@mikeaprice09 we should have 100% won the champions league last year but we slipped up against bayern who are nowhere near as good as us, these things happen though, it was after rafael's red card when they started to pile on the pressure and got that brilliant late goal from robben!! never mind ey!! we will be there again!!
@RazzaBeeDaSilva yea,, rafael is quality but he is young and makes mistakes like the peno he gave away vs man city in the semi of the carling cup and the red card vs bayern! I thought both were harsh but thats football! Last season united were really unlucky like with those injuries to our defense, the offside goal to chelsea against us, a few decisions were harsh on us but we still had an ok season.. not the best but not bad at all! I hope we get to the final of the champo league this year XD
@mikeaprice09 just thinkin about how much bad luck we had such as all the injuries, lack of goals from other players except rooney, the offside drogba goal against us, gerrard gifting drogba that goal (probably on purpose) and quite a poor season consistancy and performance wise yet we only lost the title by 1 point, and still won the league cup!

We have a great mix and i think we have a stong enough squad to win the title for sure!! We buy players when they are young or unknown then turn them into world class players.. thats what we did with ronaldo, nani, vidic was unknown now look at him!!!!! Evra wasn't world class but is now and also rooney was amazing and we did everything we could to get him even though thats abit different considering at 16 he was amazing!

quite simply, the prime example of a central midfielder who has unbelievable ability and has proved himself consistently over time. A true legend who is still a footballing genius today just a shame he retired his career for england at an early stage.... sorely missed at the world cup

Yea haha,, the 06-07 year was great cos we played amazing football, then the 07-08 year we won the league and champo so i love that one and then 08-09 we again played awsome footy and won the league.. but 09/10 we didnt actually play as nice football as we did before and it wasn't as good but will always be good because it was 'rooneys year' :)

I dont understand why we didnt spend that 80m we got for ronaldo.. yes we were in debt alot but we are in the same situation anyway.. we could have got almost any player in the world for 80m like villa for maybe 40m or something then a world class winger for the other 40m,, maybe even sneijder for 40m,, we have enough wingers as it is!

But now he is a main striker and scores more that means none of his goals are from outside the box anymore! Also i think hernandez can get his fair share of goals but it will take time for him to settle in, same for owen in terms of getting goals, he should get a fair few if he plays more! Scholes and fletcher together is one of the best cm combination in the world i think but like our 1st comments said about scholes retiring, i am definiatly not looking forward to that!! But no point looking at that and thinking about it until it happens, we will just have to keep going and focus on this season :)

@RazzaBeeDaSilva yea,, rafael is quality but he is young and makes mistakes like the peno he gave away vs man city in the semi of the carling cup and the red card vs bayern! I thought both were harsh but thats football! Last season united were really unlucky like with those injuries to our defense, the offside goal to chelsea against us, a few decisions were harsh on us but we still had an ok season.. not the best but not bad at all! I hope we get to the final of the champo league this year XD

@mikeaprice09 just thinkin about how much bad luck we had such as all the injuries, lack of goals from other players except rooney, the offside drogba goal against us, gerrard gifting drogba that goal (probably on purpose) and quite a poor season consistancy and performance wise yet we only lost the title by 1 point, and still won the league cup!

and yes we do have a great mixture of youth and experience, we'll just have to wait and see what happens now wont we, im confident that we will bounce bakc after that dissappointing result against fulham and have a great season!

@RazzaBeeDaSilva yea, i think so too! Luckily we have the perfect manager with the most experience anyone could possibly have! And if we are top of the table with 5 games to go i am sure we will win the league because almost every united player will have won 3 premier league titles at least and therefore now how to handle the pressure! :)

I agree about sneijder,, he is the best possible replacement for scholes tbf, also i think we would need a rb, rafael will be great in a few years but he is very inexperienced and g neville will be gone soon so i would try for maicon! Also i would love to see united get robinho, but he plays for rivals city so they wouldnt sell him to us :( and he hasnt settled well in the prem but as a player i would love him!!!!

@mikeaprice09 lol messi is definately not worth more than £80million if ronaldo is 80, i think theyre about the same :) and yeah maicon is a class player he would be good! i dont like robinho though i think he's very over rated, id like us to snap torres up from liverpool lol, they would never sell him to us but they are not good enough for him, he is wasted there and would fit in very well with us i think!

@RazzaBeeDaSilva I think messi is better than ronaldo.. but its shared like kaka was the best in the world, then ronaldo for a few years and now its messi's turn! So who next i wonder?!?! maybe rooney :) Robinho was class at real madrid though! I dunno why he moved to city! A much worse team than real madrid,, and i agree about torres, when he is fully fit he is one of the best strikers in the world and him and rooney could form an unstoppable strikeforce!

@mikeaprice09 yeah isuppose it is messi's turn, and i think if it wernt for such a bad world cup it would be rooneys turn next coz people were just starting to call him the best in the world after the wonderful season he had, but now everyone hates him lol! when robinho was at madrid he was class yeah, but now weve seen more of him i think hes poor, especially in this league anyway!

@RazzaBeeDaSilva Yea i think the best players in the world at the moment is messi, sneijder and rooney! Robinho was awsome at real but i really don't think he is a success in the premier league, even if it was at united or chelsea!! Everyone blames rooney for the world cup well the whole england team sucked.. also torres was even worse than rooney, torres literally couldn't even pass the ball to the right player! None of the big name stars were too good!

The amount he did at united was crazy, won so many awards by his own and won just about everything you can .. also was outstanding and even at real and after a relatively successful first season it would never compare to at united!! Maybe robben would be in that list i said also lol

@mikeaprice09 true, Ronaldo was ridiculously good at United and probably wont get that good again! he should never have left! van nistelrooy and heinze have both said that after United each club felt like a step down, and Beckham obviously regrets leaving and told rooney not to leave :D United are number 1, but ronaldo supported madrid as a child so we can understand cant we lol

@RazzaBeeDaSilva very true.. even going to barcelona from united is like a step down because being at united is surely the best experience possible to a footballer! Being surrounded by legends of football and players like rooney and owen who is not world class anymore but just look what he has done in his career!! We always seem to buy players, make them world class and then someone uses their money to get them off us.. usually real madrid lol

@RazzaBeeDaSilva yea!! We have had some of the best players in world football at the club and we don't really spend that much! We buy players when they are young or unknown then turn them into world class players.. thats what we did with ronaldo, nani, vidic was unknown now look at him!!!!! Evra wasn't world class but is now and also rooney was amazing and we did everything we could to get him even though thats abit different considering at 16 he was amazing!

@RazzaBeeDaSilva yea i agree.. tevez was good at westham but i feel that he showed potential more than class and then united bought out the best in him and then for some reason fergie let him go rather than paying the 25m for him!! 25m is alot but i think fergie was wrong to not get him.. there are a few things fergie i think does wrong now but at the end of the day we have a good enough squad anyway!

I honestly am gutted for tottenham, i like them alot and wanted them to get as easy group as possible but then they ended up drawing last years winners inter, werder bremen who are quality and to add insult to injury even drew the best ranked team in pot 4 FC TWENTE! As for united a quality group with valencia and rangers,, will be tough but it should be awsome :D
