If you come up right before he starts shooting and stand on that platform, throw the hatchets at him and it will make the sound like you are hitting a rock or shell but it will still hurt him. It helps because he's not shooting at you and you kill him in 20 hits.

Some wolves in New Adventure Island jump instead of run across, making it harder to dodge them, since people's first impulse to avoid them is jumping over them.

I played this game on the gameboy. The Diamond dinosaur was -awful- out of water, because it crawled. Not like in this version when it's pretty speedy.
Still, I feel your pain when Hudson decides to throw the water-dinosaur at you for no reason.
