  • this is supposed to be one of the happiest songs ever, but we associate it with loss. losing a love one is so very hard especially when you come from a big family and know that we will have to say many good byes. if we can step back and look at the big picture in that the time we spend here on earth is nothing compared to whats in store for us when we join our loved ones , up yonder...

  • I was reminded of this song last Friday at my dear friend Grandma "Sweetie" Willie Maltie's funeral @ Friendship Baptist Church. I've had this song in my heart ever since.... can't get it out of my head. I cried so much at that funeral because my beloved father just passed away on March 16, 2 weeks ago. He loved the Lord, and was anxiously awaiting his graduation to heaven. Blessed Love to the families of the loved ones who have passed already this year.

  • i luv diss song they played this at my aunt funeral 2 weeke ago

  • love this song i i cant stand chuch songs but this song s sad cuz they play it a furnerals

  • @LilOBX Christians think of it and sing it as a reassuring song ~ kinda sorta to testify that; "I am up in heaven, with my Creator...where there is NO more sorrow, wars, drama, pain, death, sickness, etc." So, when u look at it like that, u can actually appreciate this song and while wiping the tears from your eyes because u know that your loved one(s) went up to heaven, to be with the Lord! Songs have more meaning when u can relate ~ give them a chance, u will be surprised =^) Blessings!

  • Very nice song. One of my all time favorites

  • This was one of my grandma's favorite songs and we had it song at her Homegoing service last October and boy did everyone cry with smiles of knowing she was at rest. • I’m listening to this song…remembering my mother who passed away July 4, 2006. My mother would often play this song- following my grandmothers passing. I miss my mother dearly. Life has not been the same, since she stepped out of this life’s arena. I find comfort in knowing that one day, I pray that I will see her again- along with my grandmother, stepfather and other family and friends whom are no longer here…

  • this song was played at my mom's funeral back in Dec. 1996, and every time I here it I think about her. Even when I don't hear it I think about her. If you have a mom still here on earth, tell her thank you for all she has done and that you love her unconditionally........

  • they sang this song at my great-grandmother's funeral last night. I couldn't help but hold back the tears. The song was uplifting. It reminded that she has gone to a better place and is there waiting on me to be with her one day. She will truly be missed, but God has allowed her to fulfill her purpose on this earth. She gave me Jesus and when I needed something tangible Jesus gave me her.
