As a person studying subjects such as obesity, I can tell you that the fact most people nowadays are obese is due to their diet, not because they don't exercise enough.

Exercise does have some effect, but very little compared to the right diet.

Genetics. Also, claiming that fingerboarding is the reason for "everyone" being obese is ridiculous considering the fact it isn't even a very popular thing; mostly it's actually practiced my actual skateboarders.

Anyway, as I said, if one is obese and it isn't about his/her genetics, then it's his/her diet, not his/her hobbies.
