  • just made some with leftover chicken breast that i had in my freezer and some potatoes. i ran out of rice though lol so i ate it like stew. absolutely delicious. and filling. gracias! :)

  • thank you. Washing rice, grits etc. is a family

thing. My family washed and took out any

stones etc. The best leave debis in rhe bag.

I loved your presentation, and will try it. thank you.

  • Ok watching your videos are a waste of time because you go into full details how to cook and season the rice and beans But you don't go into details on how to season and cook the MAIN COurse which would be the meat!!! I mean seriously is it just me ? You always show the meat after you have seasoned it. If you are trying to keep it to your self why even show it on you tube!!

  • Excellent!

  • You did not wash the rice.

  • looks.............tasty

  • Well, Girl!!! This was a fantastic meal. Wanted to try something a little different for chicken. We do jerk quite frequently. Your recipes were right on the money. I just happened to have the box of Creamed Coconut. It was on sale at the grocery store several months ago, so I picked one up. Didn't have coconut oil handy (I used it up on our hair and skin), so I substituted olive oil. I also used pinto beans. I will certainly review more of your videos. Keep it coming!!

  • Gross you lost me when you diddnt wash ur rice sorry Im sure its good but you should allways wash out your rice lol

  • I Haiti We call pigeon peas "pois Congo" it's really delicious. Did you say Congo or combo peas? excellent video!!

  • @believeunisexdayspa we call them Gungo peas in JA. Different name for Pigeon or Congo peas.

  • @believeunisexdayspa ahhhh... guess i'll try it lol. i actually don't like pwa congo. :( but maybe it's because as i young girl i always had to sit there and peel em lol.

  • where do you find blue mountain curry poweder, I live in NJ?

  • @chergilliam518 Joe's market located on Main Street in Orange NJ has it

  • @suchNNsuch thanks so much, but I did find it in East Orange on Main Street, the Tropical Market.....and I love it!!! The Curry turned out sooooo good!!! :) I will have to check out that market next...

  • @kisstopiagroove you don't have to add the sugar in the rice i've never seen that in my life and my family is caribbean. and as a jamaican you shouldn't be pouring that salt in your hand!!! NO BUENO! I like your vids though I see youre adding your own twist

  • Can you post all the ingredients and the preparation please

  • Coconut oil is the best, isn't it.

  • The food look so good, but my eyes bug out my head when I see the adding of sugar AND the amount in some of the Jamaican dishes. I honestly cannot have sugar in my diet as many diabetics would probably cringe. Is there any other alternatives for the sugar in Caribbean cooking? Can the sugar be omitted?

  • where can I buy coconut cream? I live in Georgia

  • @icookforlove If you in Atlanta GA, Just hit up Covington Hwy. in Decatur!

  • @icookforlove at the farmers market on Buford Highway!!

  • thank you for sharing

  • I am jamaican and i love ure videos but i notice u don't really cook the traditional way it's more like u add your own flavor to the recipes..very different but i will try it.

  • I love your cooking videos!!! Just wanted to know if you have your website up and running. I only ask because you mentioned it in this video. :-)

  • how big is your pot and how much chicken did you cook

  • yuh forget to wash the rice

  • @carlynyc parboil rice dont need to wash

  • mmmm yumey

  • nice video!

  • I never understood why those peas were called ' Gungoo" Peas. I'm sure there is a nice story behind it. But the 'Country Pepper" part gets me evreytime. Why pepper cyaa grow inna Kingston? As far as "Pop Chow", I know that the Chinese braught it to Jamaica and i sense that while the Chinese were learning how to speak Patios, They just messed it up and said Pop Chow. In St. Cathrine there was a Chiney shop keeper, We asked him for Sewing Needle and he gave me Chicken Noodle. - Is true.

  • What's the difference in cooking time and amount of liquid needed when you use brown rice instead of white rice when cooking rice and peas? Thanks for the videos.

  • I love watching u...thks posting.

  • your confidence is what makes the dish.

  • we missed you lady :)

  • MMMM! I wish I was there to have some! :D Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow welcome back missed your videos!
