You take out the stems because its harsh and (most of the time)has lower thc ratio compared to the bud. I've also heard that it gives you headaches but im not exactly sure about that.

they need to differentiate between THC and marijuana. the plant matter in marijuana when burned releases many toxins, tar, and chemicals. THC by itself is basically harmless, unless they prove there's long term effects one day.
