dont give the book to her, give the book to leader, then go to that woman outside, tell her that u did it, quest finished. thats how ive got mine

what you DO have to do is once u get the book u give it to her first off! when shes in the grey mare. then tell the leader guy that u gave it to her, he then tells u steal it back (its in her room in a chest) steal it back then take it back to the guy - he then says thanx and that hell overlook the fact the u gave the book to her and write u one! go in ur menu and click the quest "joining the mages guild" the red arrow that indicates a quest location should be removed from chorrol

i think i figured out why alot of ppl didnt get the recommendation. i just read that if you give the book to teekeus, you will be asked by earana to steal it back. if u give it to earana, teekeus will ask you to stael it back. it said either way you will get the recommendation. let me know if it works

no it doesnt work! i stole it back for her then when u see him a second time he just tells u that its missing- thats it! he doesnt ask u to steal it back and theres no option for u 2 to tell him u took it for her

when i stole it 4 her, she gave me a quest, after i completed the quest, i had my recommendation

I need someone to help me cause i gave the book to him then he said that he would write a recommedation for me but the i when to steal the book back for that one girl sent me on a different quest and i'm done all the other quests for recommedation it just that one and i can't get the book back i'm stuck :'( PLEASE HELP ME!!

it happened to me too but i can't get the book back from the girl, she is never in a place where she is alone, she is always with people, so can't kill or pick pocket her :*(

have your character sleep for a day & see what happens. i can't remember but i think that is what i did

if you already gave the book to the guild mage. go up stairs & steal back the book & give it to eranana to get the spell, but you'll have to steal it back from eranana & put it back after she gives you the spell

How come it ends in "Quest completed: finger of the mountain" and not "Chorrol Recommendation"

Also when I go to quest there is still a red dot in Chorrol Mages Guild.

i'd assume that fingers of the mountain takes over the recommendation quest. it could be eranana. you could go upstairs & steal the book & give it to her to get the spell fingers of the mountain (destruction spell).

i didn't find out that you could still do both until last night.
