I rode the LIRR for 13 years. The one thing that pissed me off was guys calling the house and asking "what's for dinner?". Dude, aren't you going to find that out in 45 minutes? Will the answer you get change your travel plans? Some cell calls were simply gab and disturbed the peace.
We all buy tickets to get on the train. It is NOT your private ride into the city. I took the LIRR in and out of work for years, and I did not have problems. This guy is a bully, and is the kind of a person who will LOOK for things to get upset over. He is ridiculous!
When you ride the LIRR, you need to take things in stride. I don't always get a seat, and it's often crowded and noisy. But I take along a newspaper to read, a bottle of water to drink, and I keep my cool.
This guy should be locked up. Are you kidding me? Your whining about people talking on PUBLIC transportation. I am not a big fan of people loud on the train either but you cannot control other peoples actions. Buy an IPOD or move to the next car. Unreal, Common.
This guy is like a 12 year old spoiled whining child. Yes, the cellphone zombies are annoying but I'll bet anything he wouldn't say boo to a 250 lb. black guy. Go on E-Bay and by a cell phone jammer. Costs a few hundred but you get the problem solved. He is a huge LOSER who obviously needs to get a life, if this is his main concern of the day.
i met this guy on the station platform in long beach, if he only went around slapping the people who throw and leave garbage everywhere on the train he would be the man!
