iMovie 11 Tutorial - Adding a logo

Is it possible to insert a logo in ai. and still retain transparency? I don't have photoshop.

This was great thanks! I put a logo one on each corner but I think imovie has a limit to how long the logo is.

Thanks to @sonumasamune. Using "crop" instead of fit solved my solution. If you have problems with cropping try to save your PNG as "interlaced" with photoshop or any similar software.

Does someone know how to put the picture on top of the title? The picture is always behind the title and it seems like it can not be changed

If i choose crop, it won't fit. and when i select fit it will turn black, any tips?

what if you want to have the logo as a fit picture - it must "allow black" and you lose your transparency... is there a way to get around this?

in iMovie 11 do you still have most or all of the other titles it did in imovie 09 and stuff?

but if you choose "crop" you will not get the black box.

@sonumasamune umm must be the way you saved off the PNG file. Also try flipping Ken Burns on and off

@iMovieFAQ @sonumasamune I also experienced that. I m sure i saved the png correctly. Yet the black area seems to show up when we use the fit options, in the editing mode.

Interesting....can you move the logo once it's there? As in, start it on the right side of the screen and then it moves to the left side as the movie progresses?

Can you re-size the logo??

@tcleland104 you would resize it in the image editor not iMovie. Final Cut can of course.

@iMovieFAQ @tcleland104 I tried resizing the logo with Photoshop. But the picture in picture area seem to magnify my logo to fit its green area.. though i selected the options.

your tuts are great. but i found none regarding slow motion. i can only shoot my footage at 30 fps so imovie cant really make a smooth slow motion out of it. is there other way to get a smooth slow motion?
