Well im from London and you're right it

will be nowhere near as big as the Beijing games mainly because most of us already see it as white elephant.

However i get the feeling that you've never been to London because although we do have a lot of old and grand buildings most of the omes which don't have any significant historical value, but, are still beautiful none the less are being sadly knocked down, generally for newbuild postmordern flats.
