@akushiii I disagree—although Beethoven no doubt suffered from depression his greatest cogency was overcoming despair, and struggle. Natural proof of this may be incurred as a direct experience of his music. Regarding his thoughts on this in an extra-musical sense see his Heiligenstadt Testament.
Beethoven said that he was meant for a later generation. Well it appears that he was right. This song had a great impack on me when I was a child. I've always loved Moonlight Sonata and I like what Shining did with it. This further proves that there is so much more to black metal than what people think.
nice. i sit here with a glass of wine listening and thinking. Am I stupid or brave enough to go for a martial arts grading in 3 days with a cut open thumb and a rooted nail? Hail

Their music is able to open very dark horizons to the mind, and such a sad melody grinds the heart until you can feel it's bleeding.

Mean no offense, but this sucks. They just took the moonlight sonata and mumbled.
Their other stuff is good, but this is bad.
BrutalTortyr 2 years ago
As a separate song, I agree, it's not that spectacular. But in the context of the album, it's beautiful...
I just uploaded it since it wasn't on YouTube yet, and it shows a different side of Shining.

@MetalCammy Beethoven wasnt an artist. He was a composer and conductor not an artist.
