been looking for this song all fucking morning, haven't heard it in years, usually i'll just type the lyrics into google and bobs your uncle..... not so easy with this song hahaha i miss p-rock =( use to watch it before going to school
Farse are awesome! Saw them at Slam Dunk last year :) have a vid of them on my page actually...it sideways though as i don't know how to turn it round : /
Yeah they split in like 2001 or something, i was gutted they played in southampton just before they split and i missed it thinking i'd catch them again.
Your probably right though cos apparently they've reformed and are writing new shit.
sex pistols werent the pinnacle of punk its like saying grunge died with nirvana
They were the most commercial bands but werent the spirit of punk
Punk was an underground movement and pistols were exploited when it became evident that punk would make the record companies money
To be fair thats probably why they split, i guess they realised it
Bands like Siouxsie & the Banshees and The Anti Nowhere League are considered the real influential forces behind punk by the people who were the REAL punks
Its like saying for example metal will die with linkin park or slipknot
Though they were influential in bringing punk to a wider audience and making it more commercial they werent part of the original punk ideal which was the opposite, an anti establishment rebellion
They were influential to the people that adopted the idea later when its popularity rose but ask any old original british punk and he will tell you to go fuck the sex pistols. just like most old metal heads would do the same with ^^
Hmmm. I appreciate your side, and that you put in legitimate input, but you're wrong. Yes, the sex pistols were not the spirit of punk, but they were the first to put into motion what the spirit of punk was. Because before them no one was standing up for what everyone who came to follow, was feeling. But the Sex Pistols were the only punk band, punk is dead, other bands should be categorized as something else. Which is ok. No shame in not being a punk.
if you wanna see i vid of Farse at Slam Dunk i just uploaded one so check out my vids. Its shot sideways but i was right against the stage so its pretty good.
If it wasn't for P-Rock, I'd have not heard of Rise Against for a long time, got to see SNFU on tv, or the randomness of being able to call up to watch I Wanna Be An Alcoholic for a whole 30 seconds, lol. P-Rock was great back in the day. If it was still up, could have seen more Capdown, King Blues, Sonic Boom Six, and random other British bands.
i dont know if they are touring any time soon, but the person below is wrong as it wasnt their 'one and only' gig as they played in birmingham before slam dunk (as its their home town)
aye was replyin to u m8 but hasnt seemed to have gone below the comment u made. Ye their bass player used to work at a place called "Shared Earth" in Birmingham (i live there.) which is why im gutted i hadnt heard they reformed although to be fair im currently at norwich, still though i gotta see em ;P
too right...they are all shite because you get some songs, and even then they are bad and the rest are adverts...i really get frustrated..damn the adverts
yeah FaRsE are amazin, bassist used to work in a store (cant remember the stores name now) right in Birminham centre I would stare and grin at him through the window when he wasnt lookin
God I miss P-Rock. Best music channel for the short period it was airing, fuck Scuzz. Great stuff, love Farse. P-Rock exposed more UK bands in the short time it was on than all these other piece of crap music channels.
Memories of being 14 and wearing socks up my arms whilst dancing to this..

Fair play for not being bitter lol i didnt intend to offend and im glad you picked up on that.
Though we share different views about the pistols i agree that bands nowadays shouldn't be catagorised as punk
toysindahood 2 years ago
Yeah it's fine. ha ha. I'm glad you weren't bitter, usually that's what I get when I mention it.
