If the executives at the studio and network had not tried to milk star Trek for as Muc hcash as the ycoul and overworked it an screwed it all up then the Next Generation could have gone on for 8 to 9 seasons, maybe Ten seasons. The Borg could have been defeated earlier. The Enterprise could have declared delta status earlier and engineering coul have reconfigured (re-patched) the plasma oscillator to give throb.

This would have dealt the Borg a critical blow. Ofcourse engineering casualties would be considerable but the plasma oscillation would settle back to pre throb levels soon enough.

TNG is the best of the Trek revival shows. Later Trek shows had to compete against other popular and quite good SF shows, without the limitations and continuity baggage Trek carried. I'm mystified by the constant repetition of rather dull "techno nerd" characters on every Trek incarnation. Not interesting people at all.Trek's good , but it ain't really flashy , sexy , gross or colorful. But still good stories and thought-provoking stuff.

The Borg are just awesome in TNG , the thought of an almost invincible race that could assimilate an enter civilization with one ship was so scary and certainly gave me my best memories of TNG. Too bad they had to rape and pillage this legacy in the Voyager series. Really, with all the cred from TNG , the Borg being outsmarted so many times on Voyager made one of the best villians in Scifi into nothing more than another forgettable character in the Star Trek Universe

alright, in case anyone actully wants to know what i think of the enterpizers (made that up lol), then here it is. picard is scary. riker is funny&rather adorable. data is the only character in any movie i would cry for. worf=fUnNy.deanna is a perfect match for will.beverly is good match for picard. geordi is a fun character. and thats it, exept for that lady who sits next to data and never seems 2 do anything exept say 'yes commander' and, evedently, doesn't have a name.

In my opinion, I though Star Trek: First Contact was the best of the TNG movies, but I also liked Generations and Insurrection. My favorite of TOS movies was Wrath of Khan (SOOOO AWESOME!) The Borg attacking Enterprise, IN THE PAST, made it awesome :)

That's a good reason! The rhythm! And that aspect of the song goes along great with all of the scenes you put together! It's just the words "Touch Me" in the song that seemed out of place! A-Ha was a great band, not obscure, and I still hear them on the radio. I believe no decade had been altogether more interesting with variety then the 80's. Historically, the 80's had everything (e.g. assassinations; home computers, shuttle blowing-up to music video). ST TNG comes from the 80's, this song fit here perfectly. A-ha was good, I like Garbage too; but I enjoy all music. I would like to see a Garbage song to classic Trek. That would raise hell I'm sure!
