I would just like to say that A&M was here before UT was. Also I attend A&M but my family lives in Austin. When I went home for Christmas break and wore my Aggie shirt, I had so many people yelling horrible things at me. It's a two way street longhorns, quit being so hypocritical!!!

I go to Tech and perhaps the reason the a&m students were unhappy with two girls wearing UT shirts walking around campus is because the aggies are passionate about the rival. From my experiences, ut students don't react at all to someone engaging in a similar activity, ut students are just less passionate and can't understand why another school's students would be upset with such a study as was done by the two ut girls.

The results you got doesn't necessarily reflect the attitude of A&M students.

By wearing the orange shirts you were essentially asking for trouble. You knew it wasn't a cultural norm, so you decided to break it to see what kind of reaction you would get.

As an Aggie, I'm kind of ashamed of the man who told them to "go back to Austin." That's just rude. At least getting strange looks is to be expected (after all, you don't see many longhorns shirts on campus so it's a surprise!) while walking around.

Can't really comment on the "store" employee, though...from behind there could have been anything written on that sign and I'm sure they just wanted to make sure the girls weren't trying to stir up trouble.
