This is a response to the comments about Russell's solo.

Russell is using a max/msp patch, which dramatically changes the sound of the guitar with the help of audio applications, to create the "toy" noise. My guess is that Russell has an effect pedal that plays the patch.

Kele uses a similiar patch for his guitar effects on "Hunting for Witches" around 1:30

wrong, he has a sound card from a toy gun inside of his guitar with a white led in the pickgard to show that its on. with a switch on the bottom to activate it. Anything with a speaker when put in the magnetic field of a pickup is amplified like normal. This gives him a stuttering delay effect.

Very fuckin good live performance. Every instruments are hearable. Nice vocals, cool bass, and awesome live effects on solo guitars, absolutely correct. They should play in our united university partyplace called JATE in hungary. We need bands like this!!!

i think the "toy" part is most likely just the chip out of one of those cheap laser gun toys like at toys'rus and walmart... you could just wire it onto the pickup and stuff it underneath the pick guard.. you can hear the distinct sounds from it at 4:44 minutes in... just my 2 cents

i'm trying to figure out what it is.. from the looks of his guitar i have a feeling its hidden under the pickguard but wired in with his pickups, and i think he uses the warp thing on the dd6 while its playing the noises, the button is between the knobs and the input jack. but if i know what toy it was it would help to determine how he makes the noises.

The weird sounds and dive bomb sound are made byy a toy custom implanted next to the pickups on russell's guitar. Activated by a switch on the guitar it makes weird sounds and the pickups pick them up and it comes out of the amp as normal.
