  • This looks indeed like it can be quite hurtful to the knees if you're not advanced in fitness and do this super carefully.

    1) Make sure your knee doesn't get past your foot

    2) Bend no more than 90 degrees

  • @hellohappyvids yes! the first couple of times you do this is hell on the muscle close to the tendon. ESPECIALLY on the 2nd day. it works tho

  • I love this exercise. I jump as high as I can from lunge position though. Build up more explosiveness and work on landing lightly/ balance. (im a tennis player)

  • @edmun09 If you jump as high as you can (higher then this guy), and add (barbell)weights when you can do more then 10 or so, yes.
