hey vadim, have you ever had dissent increase unbelievably fast? im playing russia and my dissent all of a sudden starts increasing at 0.29 a day. at first i thought it was a smear campaign until i played the confederates in the abyss campaign. am i missing some sort of update or something?

It can be historical event that you've missed or your consumer goods production rate is too low.

I try playing as the soviet union in making history demo and it was so large i couldnt move my troops around before it ended :\, even when i tried to take over it as US still simply too big to defeat wholy in on demo thing, but i did take mexico, tried canada, backfired, and thought about going to take UK but then i erased demo...

It's almost always a combination of two. You need the bonus of serial producing, but also need the speed of parallel. I usually order infantry in small portions of 3 inf. divisions, 99 units in each order. If I don't need them anymore - I just cancel this production.

I agree, the "Gearing Bonus" (As a result of serial production) should be considered greatly.

When you set up a serial production, you will be granted a bonus for each time one unit is created (speed bonus = the next one in line will require a little less time than the one before).

However, there're limits. In my game, the oldest version of Armageddon, the maximum "gearing bonus" is 30 (approximately), and for each time I build it increase with 5.

That means that the fourth or the fifth, for example, will require considerably less time to produce than the first.

Hearts of Iron 2 Doomsday is such an excellent game. I've never played anything as in depth and realistic(when it comes to politics/economy/etc) There is such a massive multitude of things you can perform on this game. Plus, it teaches you a good deal about the worlds geography and where countries are. This series is extremely informative, thanks alot VadimCC.

I feel you, man! When I started my very first campaign in this game I didn't know what to do at all. The most sad thing I didn't lose instantly, but when I figured out what to do, it was too late. I barely survived.

Ya, I just tryed the winter war, and the finns kicked my ass the first couple of times, then even when I would start the break through, the game would end and declare the fins that victory for some reason.

But I'm gunna try the campaign as the soviets later tonight and try to overrun all of Europe red alert style.
