This was my first shortwave-rcvr I bought in 1980 and I still use it from time to time. My FRG7000 gived me the push to get my hamlicense. Since 1991 I am PA3GBY.
GREAT receiver! I bought mine new from Gilfer in NJ, with selectivity and sensitivity mods. As sensitive as any receiver I have ever owned, a pleasure to operate, smooth dials, excellent audio. Glad I still have it!
Fully good RX . Assistant to RFT EKD 300/500 for fast check LF to HF band. Annotation: you have a silent location-good for listening, 73
