You used way too much... you need to blow dry your hard backwards so it will be easier to style that way, then apply some brylcreem paying attention to the roots of your hair slicking it back.
Brylcreem is a really good hair product. It leaves the hair soft, shiny, and it smells good. It rinses out easy, too. Generally, it's better for slicked back hair, or if you part your hair. For pomps it's not going to hold it much. If the pomp is small then it's ok. Big pomps need more hold.
What's wrong with me!? I'm in the amazing world of internet. I could be watching big titties and hot chicks... instead of that I'm watching chubby mexican guy combing his hair with Brylcreem..
This is pretty cool vid. I'm a girl with short hair and I find that using my Aveeno leave in conditioner and then using Garnier Shine wont keep my hair moisturized and give it that sheen for the whole day.I also have to use hair spray otherwise if I walk outside it'll get frizzy (I live in Florida),when it dries it kinda leaves it hard. I'm thinking about trying this stuff. I don't really mind that it has a masculine smell (reminds me of my dad anyways),i'll let you know how it turns out, thanks
Hey guy, so currently I think my hair is too short, the front strands only come to my eyebrows. I usually do the modern messy fauxhawk type of hair style but I'm considering growing my hair longer and doing the elvis type of hair style but not completely, still give it a fauxhawk look.
But I have straight hair, I usually use hair putty or texture cream for my hair. I notice you use something like Murry's, does it work really good for straight hair?
@biagiotti2006 Personally I would not know because I have thick wavy hair. My barber Lumpy says it's more difficult because your straight hairs have a hard time folding back in to a nice pomp but to me it's all about training your hair. Keep greasin and grow it out man.
@jamesgd7 Have you seen my Murray's pomade video? Murrays is great for hold ( except in high heat ), not a lot of shine, and stays in your hair for a few days depending on the amount you put in kat. your welcome.
I think you also have to have the right type of hair to really make Brylcream work for you. I have thick wavey hair if I use too much of this stuff you would think I haden't washed my hair for a month. On the other hand when my good friends Grandfather was alive he had thin straight hair and could pull off that 1950's greaser type of look using Brylcream.
@brickhead543 Of course anyone would like to use anything else except Brylceem! I never said I preferred it, that would be stupid. I just review it and give a how to use video on it. Thanks for your two cents though, always appreciated kat.
hmm im deciding to try out brylcreem or just use my pomades but they dont really give me much shine so does brylcreem give you a really good shine and at least has good hold?
@dudewithacoolguitar yes, brycreem gives great shine as you can see. But, sadly there is no hold on this stuff. It's just a cream, so it makes your hair shiny and greasy, easy ro manage, and that is it. Comb it one way, shake your head a bit and you have to restyle it you dig? So if you use it for shine use just a tad bit after you put pomade in. I say just a little bit of it because it will loosen up the hold on your pomade! I sometimes use it to get murrays out of my hair! Strictly slicked!
