John was an excellent actor. Wish he had been able to perform more in that aspect of his talent and career. That's all a mute point now. Sure miss him.

@squeapler John Denver as a policeman. So ridiculous. You could not find someone who could look less like a cop than him!

@Gentilseulement You are right of course - I don't think he would have even been allowed to be a cop with that long hair, not even in a rural area where he's related to the sheriff - but he did a pretty good job acting fairly lame material. He was good in "Oh, God" a few years later too. He would have been a good actor if he wasn't so recognizably John Denver (and probably making so much money off his albums he didn't need to go that route).
