I always think its a good policy to only feed fauna that you could easily win a fight with like ducks and squirrels. Not to say that the footage isn't adorable but if a fully grown deer starts expecting food it can get pretty nasty if one day you don't have any. Just be careful especially if you have kids or pets running around. One head butted my grandma once and after that she only fed them from the window and kept a boom-box nearby if they started acting aggressive. Scares them every time.

I dont think that there is anything wrong with hunting. there are seasons and tags to control over hunting and people dont really affect the popoulation much in most areas. in fact most places are over populated and the deer start dying of starvation from trying to compete for food or from old age. I think that its a great thing to participate in if you have the right ethics and do it for the right reasons not just for the trophy.
Also I might add, hunting deer should be done when the population of deer is too high on the land. The land (habitat) can only support a certain amount of deer and when there are too many deer on that land, they become sick. Remember the last time "Blue tongue disease". It killed thousands in the midwest because not enough deer were harvested. So,... hunting isn't bad, it is a natural way of controling deer population so everyone can enjoy seeing "healthy" deer.
FYI, every animal is an opportunist for free handouts of food, but sometimes it can be dangerous to feed them like this, if they get spooked they could start kicking you.

Deer never try to find their parents once they're adults. Deer don't make one family and live their lives together until they die. They make several families a year and stick together. Once the deer are old enough to look after themselves, their parents forget they ever existed and make a new family.
Not quite. Yes coyotes and hunters do their jobs in nature, but not well enough. There are lots of places where the deer have predators. And posted property, meaning no tresspassers. But even without its preditators, the deer do what they always do. No matter what. It's in their blood to care about their offspring until adulthood, and then they forget. No matter what the circumstances, that's what they'll always do. Even if survival isn't isn't a day to day task.
Five years go by and they end up getting hit by a car... or eaten by a coyote. So I feel good about my job as a hunter. Not only do I feed my family, but the animal goes with dignity..

Every year, you can drive out into areas that were once country and forest and they have been cut down for wood and houses are there. I dont think that there is anything wrong with hunting. there are seasons and tags to control over hunting and people dont really affect the popoulation much in most areas. in fact most places are over populated and the deer start dying of starvation from trying to compete for food or from old age. I think that its a great thing to participate in if you have the right ethics and do it for the right reasons not just for the trophy.

Also I might add, hunting deer should be done when the population of deer is too high on the land. The land (habitat) can only support a certain amount of deer and when there are too many deer on that land, they become sick. Remember the last time "Blue tongue disease". It killed thousands in the midwest because not enough deer were harvested. So,... hunting isn't bad, it is a natural way of controling deer population so everyone can enjoy seeing "healthy" deer.

Beacause they aren't like people. When you moved out did you never see your parents? No. You visit them or stay in some sort of contact with them. Why? Cause you love them. Deer never try to find their parents once they're adults. Deer don't make one family and live their lives together until they die. They make several families a year and stick together. Once the deer are old enough to look after themselves, their parents forget they ever existed and make a new family.

Not quite. Yes coyotes and hunters do their jobs in nature, but not well enough. There are lots of places where the deer have predators. And posted property, meaning no tresspassers. But even without its preditators, the deer do what they always do. No matter what. It's in their blood to care about their offspring until adulthood, and then they forget. No matter what the circumstances, that's what they'll always do. Even if survival isn't isn't a day to day task.

Like I said, we don't TROPHY hunt.. which is basically where you kill the animal and get it stuffed. No. We use every bit of the animals that we kill. My family and I are part Native American as well, and have a lot of respect for the animals; something that most hunters these days lack.
I'll have you know (again) that I love animals as well. I work at a groomer's place and I'm in college for animal behavior. Not that you care, you just want to blindly insult people. And do a bad job at it.

You do kind of have to hunt animals like deer, either that or they become road kill as cities grow. Every year, you can drive out into areas that were once country and forest and they have been cut down for wood and houses are there. Then when they do grow forest back, it's so thick nothing large as a deer can live in it. Basically it becomes hunt them, or let them get run over.

mmm..theer1ca is "saving animals by murdering them".. you see the more the deer reproduce which they will always do because it's their cycle of life to reproduce in the spring. if it gets to crowded or if they populate to far, the ending result would be they would cause more traffic problems or would eat to much of the food supply. They'd extinct themselves. that's why we have people who hunt in spring.
