I didn't know Mel Brooks was in the movie until I watched it today. When the kids were disguising themselves as adults I knew they looked more like ZZ Top than bank men. And I remember that the TV version had an extra scene where the real bearded men show up and were obviously hurt by the loan officer, which I thought was better than the one I have on video.
