@ EVERYBODY TALKING ABOUT HIS DRUM SOLO he does a good solo. probly not his best because when your on stage and there's thousand of people in front you its hard to come up with the best rythmic beats. he has to make it up off the top off his head and still please people but all the adrenaline makes it hard. every musician whether be guitar drums or keyboards does his best work while hes in his room alone coming up with stuff. i know this all from experience and he did good. Why does a drum solo have to be complicated when guitar solos aren't usually? If you've ever heard "Smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana than that guitar solo is a perfect example. Simple, but it sounds good.

Cheap! The solo consists 90% of easy and boring double-bass stuff. Nothing special.

oh and if u don't believe me here look up Arch Enemy drum solo, tell me that doesnt that sound much better, and u cant say that it doesnt have rhythm at all and that he is smashing the drumset to make it sound amazing

creativity than this and if you've been playing for an amount of time shouldn't u show that you are at least a good drummer and that you can use your skills to make amazing solo? hey i like disturbed and enjoy their music and the songs are amazing but this solo it's just crap to what he could have done, he maybe a great drummer and i recognize it but with a solo this cheap i cant see past that he just makes a beat to a song and that he doesn't have any skill at all.

umm wow, ok i see the point of people, his drum solo is great because of rhythms umm, no his solo is cheap, if you want a good rhythm "metal" solo with technique and precision the look up Daniel Erlandsson, ok maybe you dont like Arch enemy's music but the solo it's still amazing that makes this solo look like crap, and im sorry but im a beginner drummer and i have come up with a better solo than this maybe it wound sound good because my drum set is cheap or anything but i atleast hav more

Whats special about His solo is it stands alone as a song. Not changing it every time proves his skill as he can replicate a piece with technical precision every time. This is my favorite solo as it is actually rhythmic and sounds like a song rather than mashing on the drums to show off. This video's quality is beautiful btw!

No offense, but it wouldn't be hard at all to memorize something of this skill. And a drum solo isn't just mashing on the drums. It's showing off techniques, grooves, and different styles of drumming. Glad I could help =].

Yeah, Mike doesn't really have the skills that some of the metal drummers today have, but he has his own style...which is a big influence on me. I still even think he rocks, even though his solo is a little lame.

Ooh yeah, back when I first started playing he was a huge influence for me too. His beats are pretty cool to play. But then you eventually get better and realize "is he really as great as I thought he was?" His solo's definitely need a lot of work.

this solo displays more talent than a normal drum solo because normally the drummer hits every drum they can find, this solo has a rythem and beat that sounds good, not like pots and pans of a five year old. Mikey is an amazing drummer and disturbed is a amazing band!

I see you don't event know what the drum solo is... Good drum solo contain many arms and legs techniques which complements each other. Play the drum solo is very difficult thing, the drummer must practise very long to learn play techniques fast...

But.. "Normal" people can't hear it ;)

I know what you're saying. However, I dissagree (of course) because, maybe it's simple, but it DOES take a lot of practice and talent to be able to utilize both you arms and legs like that. I also think that since it's simple, like that, then it has more of a groove to it. By the way... when does Mike have a mohawk? ha ha ha!
