@HunterJumperGirlyy Actually, I do ride often in rope halters. I like to use them if I am working on something new (me or them) so I stay out of their mouth. Works great (if you have trained properly for it).
@HunterJumperGirlyy yea it will i ride my horse bareback with a halter all the time and it works amazingly:) and if you get a good one it wont break for the rest of your life:)i have been riding with a rope halter for 3 years and can run barrels, western pleasure, trail, galloping, jumping, ect. it still works :)
I took me two weeks to learn how to tie a rope halter. It's the other ones I can't figure out to save my life. Not trying to be condescending by the way. My coach is pretty awesome. She described as make a backwards "p" and thread it through, and it worked so well!!
when u buy it. does it come parcially put together like the nose band or so ? and the loop u "put the string through?" or does it come as a bunch of rope. thx someone meessege meon my page- thanks:)
Seriously, thanks for posting this, I was wondering which know i should use. You can't begrudge someone for not knowing something and trying to learn, I don't understand why people have to be such know it all jerks. I deal with computers for a living, and seriously if you can't normalize a database, you have no right to be on the internet. :)
Yes, the point of this video is to help beginners. But i have met people who have owned horses for 20 years and still tie the knot wrong. If you tie it correctly, you will always be able to get it loose, no matter how hard the horse pulls. This is for anyone who needs it and I know I helped at least 2 people, so it was worth it!
can you leave a horse in the pasture with a rope halter on because somebody told me you cant
